Why would they be selling their stock now if it was about to go up. Wouldn't they wait until they thought the stock price and peaked before they sold.
Personnally I don't think the sale of their stock mean anything. How out of the suggested meanings it would probably mean that they thought the stock was going to drop and they are trying to retain their investment.
I think Arty50 is right about Steve being a Mercedes fan, the high end S-class.
but..more importantly, I hope Steve-o and the rest of Apple are Bimmer-people. BMW is by far a better company than Jag, plus Steve likes to use BMW as an example for market share..mmm M3 GTR..mmm...

did someone say m3? okay, it's not a gtr, but it's fun nonetheless.
Okay-- so the Boys (and Girls) of Apple keep selling stock. And I posit that that's a good thing for MWNY.
Here's the logic.
if Apple (releases new, cool product)
then StockPrice--;
It happens everytime. Therefore, the Apple execs want to dump before this happens, because New York is going to be so big, that AAPL will fall through the floor.
Does anyone actually know when these execs' sotck options expire? Usually, the longest that options are valid for is 5 years, though it can also be shorter. If these execs all have options that were granted to them about 5 years ago, then they would want to exercise them and sell them before they expire (and then likely be given more options).
