It should not have been on AI either. I do not see how this is a Apple related news. This is aimed to instigate stupid remarks by some and does not add anything to this forum.

I think that stupidity is an equal opportunity thing. So lawsuit might not happen.

It's not a personal attack at all.  It's an observation about your articles.  Your articles commonly have factual errors.  You've even asked me to list a few for you in the past, which I did.  The only thing that means is that there's room for improvement in your research and fact checking skills.  That's not a reflection of who you are as a person and you shouldn't take it as such.

Police believe the thief has a sense of humor since the phone login ID says "JK Shin".

Why call the guy an idiot? He was smart to ditch his POS Samsung for an iPhone. He just went the wrong way about it!

After all the articles and comments about how the vast majority of Samsung sales are of low-end models, I'm surprised that nobody brought up the fact that the phone left behind likely wasn't the S3 or S4.

I can see the interview for an Apple commercial now...  the fine print at the bottom says "not an actor.  Actual Galaxy user desperate for an iPhone"

Source? Not all Sammy phones are Galaxies. In addition, iPhone > SG4.

iPhones: people are willing to steal it.

In unrelated news, the Samsung Experience Stores were broken into and it was found the Galaxy inventory increased.

I don't have a source for what phone he left behind, but I think you'll agree that you've seen many comments and articles here about the vast sales of low-end models relative to high-end models.  Whether or not the sales assumptions are accurate, I don't know.

The source for this article just says Samsung Galaxy.  Here's a list of all phones within the Galaxy brand: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy

    And yes, iPhone >> S4.

Taking into considering the number of Fandroids that infest this Apple-enthusiast forum spewing their iHating crap, I think it is perfectly legit to report on it here.  Just another embarrassing smack on their face.

Even though I'm on my vacation right now on a different continent using a 4g connection that costs way too much, I couldn't resist posting on this hilarious story.:D

This is so damn funny, i am cracking up here. :D

Everybody knows that the opposite would never have happened. Can you imagine an Apple user breaking into a store to steal Samsung phones and then leaving their iPhone 5 behind?

And some people give me a hard time for not thinking very highly of Fandroids. :smokey::D

Police were called to scene Feb. 19 for a report of an alarm. When they arrived, they found a smashed glass display case and missing iPhones, according to a search warrant. Snyder’s phone was found inside the front door of the store, under broken glass.

No current news? Posting old news is so DED.

This is not old news. It's from July 11, and the news of this Fandroid epic robbery fail definitely needs to be reported and told. Butthurt Fandroids and others can not censor and wish away news that they don't like.

Clearly a serial thief who wanted to leave his "calling card".
But these days, people don't use paper anymore apparently, so he left his calling card in PDF-form.

All these "idiot" comments seem to be neglecting the point that this kind of theft is an impulsive act and is almost never associated with clear and rational thinking. There's no smash and grab committed by smart people.

I wonder if the dude was on an SSRI drug...

Perhaps. But if the brands were reversed in the story, it would be intensely exploited for clicks and LOLs on pro-Android/anti-Apple sites, for the same reasons. Count on it.

Does any perp have clear and rational thinking, regardless of the crime?
