    "Brilliant" ... "illuminated logo"

    Very clever!

For your information, ignorance is not an excuse. The bag with the wheels is his personal suitcase. The 'flight bag' that the iPad is replacing is the one on top of it with the CREW tag. That's a lot of dead weight to have to lug around.

Remember, there are 3 to 5 cockpit crew members on every commercial flight.

I'll bet there was a time that your mother wished she could replace you with an iPad. And for the most part you were becoming dead weight.

    That's just mean and unnecessary.

Rules? Are you sure? Or is it a case of not doing product placement without money or without at least a quid pro quo?

Well said.  Ad hominem attack have been seen as grounds for banning accounts here. I trust the admins employ such discretion equally.  The "Report" button for each post can help them identify offending posts.

Thanks, but I'm familiar with them.  I used to fly quite often. I had both a physical flight bag, and also used electronic flight bags and navigation starting back around 2000.

As for the illustration, it doesn't matter whether the flight bag itself has wheels, or it's strapped to something with wheels.

So you are well aware that every time you checked into the Comm centre, you opened your Flight Bag. Every time, particularly now and coming out of foreign air ports, you checked all your carry-ons through security and lifted them separately for x-ray. And usually before you boarded, and for sure every time before you entered the flight deck you separated your bags, and to do so (every time), it required an 40 lb lift. And in limited spaces, it felt a lot heavier.

I know one thing. Flight bags get heavier as the day goes by. Dragging them along is awkward, frustrating and tiring. And now, unnecessary. Wheels or not.

Can you please link me to where you got this statement from

It was probably said right before Jobs went back to Apple or around the same time Michael Dell had opened his mouth about what Jobs should do when he came back to Apple.

Can someone give me even a hint of an explanation as to why my post in this thread was deleted? Because I mocked the "Apple is doomed by 2015" as a ludicrous statement by using facts? Absurd.

Hard to say, and I've never seen explanations provided by admins, but I've seen posts deleted for ad hominems, reminding other users of the "Report" button, and asking questions of the author of an article.

A called an obvious troll a troll, and delusional if they thought there was a chance "Apple would not remain a successful company by 2015". I guess that's considered an ad-hominen attack now, even though I was stating the obvious and backed up my statement, while trolls whose sole purpose is to stir up shit by posting lies and half-truths continue to post unfettered, because they're simply "stating their opinion".  This forum seems to constantly punish rational posters, while rewarding trolls. Awesome.

FWIW I've also seen posts get flagged for insulting the forum as a whole.
