    They are continuing it in the hopes Apple will back off and pay up.

    If it had even a fine and a year or two without the MFN Apple wouldn't have likely raised a fuss. But five years and trying to stick it to all other forms of media that's out there

    I think we should support this petition on We the People to get it more into the public's eye. I imagine if this could get to 100,000 signatures it would force the president to consider what departments need a closer inspection.

    I'm in. Some might say its a waste of time but why not try it. Who knows, we might get a reply.

    5 years is definitely way too long. It's not that big of a deal with the other media because Apple uses the wholesale model with them already.

    Surely it should have been another 'neutral' Judge who heard Apples bid to suspend.

    Not true at all.

    Judges very frequently issue stays of their own orders pending appeal. In fact, it's common enough that it's almost universal.

    It's trickier than you may imagine to stop selling to a distributor. Especially if more then one publisher does so...
