OK, so there's a way to bypass Apple's security. But notice that the app did not have any malicious code as submitted - the malicious code was reassembled in use. It's pretty hard to figure out how Apple (or anyone) could block an app which doesn't have malicious code when submitted.
I guess they'll have to settle for just being 100,000 times more secure than their competition.
No. It's easy to do that. Apple just needs to download the app to a real device and test it extensively for few months instead of just doing static analysis.
This is simply not newsworthy. Apple's been notified, and that's it.
It would appear that the mainstream media agrees with this assessment as there hasn't been a peep out of them. That should be good news for those who believe that the mainstream media targets Apple unfairly.
