The interesting thing is the Samsung galaxy S4 has some basic controls with gestures, 1 finger to preview & hand waves to change page (they don't work very well) but could this bite apple?.
Has there not been an upgrade to this technology, yet?
It has been a few months since the technology was released in a pitiful state, but with much fanfare in New York City, and it would be a shame if it was not tweaked at least one time to be more usable.

And your point?
If memory serves, it is Microsoft that researched and developed gesture technology similar to "Minority Report'.
Apple has researched and developed 3D and gesturing technologies similar to Iron Man and Avatar.
Any company that desires to make the R&D effort to invent and sell its own version of the technologies can do so.
May the best technology win!
