That’s because those accounts don’t post here anymore.

Ok whatever it call, if you are willing to reduce the coat of your product from expensive aluminum to cheap plastic, then you should be willing to pass it on the selling price to consumer expectation which is potentially big. If you think about holding on to high profit margin, you are actually giving it up to your competitor. A loaf of meat in the kitchen refrigerator will go rotten and end up in the trash can unsold if the steak you sell is too expensive than the restaurant across the street.

C never stood for cost. You all just assumed that it did. C is for Color or Choice.

C stand for anything begins with C you can never say C never stand for cost insisting it stand for color or anything of your choice. Are you trying to make people to use L instead of C for Cost? Ok you Lost!

Ignoring the 5C for a minute, the photos below of Burberry's fashion show were taken with the 5S. They look amazing. I wish I was due for an upgrade. :(

"C" stands for costs more than it should off contract.

Go buy an Android phone if your sole concern is cost. You'll notice the difference.

One major thing lacking in both new phones but especially the flagship 5S is the super fast new WiFi-ac standard that Apple seems to be implementing in all its other new products, why not in the 5S? Its an oversight as nearly all the competitions new flagship smartphones seem to have it. The upcoming Nexus 5 is going to have it as well as high resolution 24 bit audio DAC's, something I've been hoping Apple would incorporate into its devices and Mac's for quite some time now - and what Steve Jobs was believed to want to implement too before he died...I'm starting to think they never will now.

C is for circlejerk, which is what all of the complainers about color, cost, and cheap are a big part of.

imo the camera innovation is outstanding. But I am affraid all the spec freaks are going to see is the 8 megapixels stats. imo the camera innovation even beats what dedicated camera are doing. Apple looked for other ways to improve the image than just adding pixels. They own it, but will the get credit for it?

Analysts were disappointed that Apple didn't offer the 5c at a lower price. How many of those analysts also get onto Apple quarterly earnings calls and criticize the company for lowered margins?

Great points. I'd much rather have WiFi-ac than the fingerprint sensor. WiFi-ac would be something I would use all the time (at least when connected to a WiFi-ac router). The fingerprint sensor, meh, I could have waited another year or two for that, and probably not something I will use very often.

And considering how many music creation apps are now available I agree that it's disappointing that 24-bit audio DACs aren't part of the 5S equation. I can understand that 24-bit audio DACs are a more specialized feature that would only be appreciated by a small subset of customers, but WiFi-ac is something that every customer could potentially benefit from on a daily basis.

Apple has historically been forward-thinking and has often embraced leading edge of technology, but lately it seems like they are Jonny (pun intened) Come Lately when it comes to incorporating somewhat standard technological upgrades like USB 3, SATA III (6 Gb/s), Wifi-ac. We can all speculate as to why, but bottom line is that from an end-user standpoint it's a little frustrating and disappointing when Apple arrives late to the upgrade party.

    C is for China.

Very few people seem to realize how much of an aspirational brand Apple is in China, the most brand and status conscious consumer in the world today. It is, right now, the world's largest market for luxury cars. Apple cannot reach down to a lower demographic in China without risking its aspirational status. And the potential downside is even greater given the forecasts about where personal incomes are headed in the Middle Kingdom. Apple is wise to sit where it is and wait for the Chinese market to come to them rather than they coming to the Chinese market.

Nobody expects BMW or Rolex or Ducati (or Macs, for that matter) to sell a budget model, why do people expect Apple to do the same with the iPhone?

Everyone (including myself) forgot about how we wanted the iPad Mini to start at $250-299. Apple doesn't do cheap. ...also, remember the "recession"? Every business that sells products similar to Apple took a downturn, except Apple.

Speaking of iPad Mini...could Apple do something similar...iPad Mini in 5 polycarbonate colors for $299...iPad Mini Retina model would continue with same aluminum back, but priced a bit higher, say, $350-399? (Aluminum to change to coincide w/5s colors?)

Don't know if I agree. If Cook was impervious to external pressure, there wouldn't be any dividend or share buyback at all.

Why is it so bad for people to expect something of any company, even if their expectation is unrealistic?
