There was an update with several bugfixes for the 910 back in June. I haven't seen any reported issues with it so you should probably apply it if you haven't already. There's also a few new features that look worthwhile included in the update.
You respond in kind...but I actually don't have the Forerunner..I was looking for some advise on a triathlon device as I now cycle with the Oregon (Shyte product, software with MS stupidity) and run with the Running app from Nike+. I just need something for my swimming training, starting 'soon' and figured I should get a 3-in-1 device.

Thanks though!
Oh, sorry. I misread your comment and thought you already owned one. FWIW it's highly unlikely for there to be a 910 replacement this year. As far as Garmin is concerned it's only a year old or thereabouts and not yet due for a model change.

Supposedly from Feb last year, so yeah, probably not. Perhaps I'll swim faster if I buy it right now online and read an announcement tomorrow on the next versions' capabilities lol
I know I'm a bit late to the game but my app was just approved today after a weird and mysterious 12 day app review cycle including a personal phone call from Apple. Anywyasy, now that my app is live, if you guys are interested you should check it out. It's a free pedometer with a clean interface and the ability to see data from past days. More features will be coming soon.
It seems that this article and a few others forgot to mention StepTracker. It's on the more basic side in terms of features but has more features than Pedometer and the dev is working to add more features quickly.
There's a new app called Lose Your Fat Half, which was created by a man who lost 150 pounds %u2013 half his body weight. He shares his story and a bunch of practical tools in the app. The app also has some game features. You can check it out at www.fathalf.com.
