I misunderstood, too. I got the impression that you want your ATV to automatically update without any intervention from you.

Anybody else reckon there will be another Apple event before the years out? Seems they need to update Apple TV to match iOS 7, also iPhoto for the mac is still version 9.5, when the rest of iLife are version 10. I suspect version 10 will add full support for iCloud enabling you to back up your liberty completely!! Probably wishful thinking however!
