He's free to say anything he wants, this is an open forum. If you disagree with what he said then state why. Name calling is childish and frankly makes you look like you are supporting one side of the argument without knowing what the other side is all about. Your judging because you have this silly notion that you have to protect a multi-bilion dollar company who doesn't even know you exist except for the money they receive from you. If he's wrong, debate him, tell him why he's wrong.
I could care less about protecting Apple. The guy was being a jerk. As are you.
There is no argument. If he wanted to "debate" he would have posted a comment about Blackberry, which the article was about. Not off-topic flames.
The new A7 chip lets the iPad Air become a fire breathing dragon. Unfortunately things got carried away after the Air tried to roast a thieving Hobbit.
In other news, an iPad Air was used to hit someone over the head. Press deems iPad Air very dangerous. Out of 20 million devices, we have one flameout which was probably caused by someone shoving something metal up the charging port. If this was widespread, your post may have some weight.

No, actually he isn't free to say anything he wants. This is a privately owned website, and he is disrupting the conversation by spamming every thread with the same ridiculous post. The ad hominem attack wasn't called for, but don't pretend that the op wasn't being a jackass.
No problem. In a year or two, after they burn through the billion or so, they'll be back up for sale for a lot less then they wanted this year. Microsoft and Apple will pick over the bones and be just as happy then as now. After Apple and Rockstar get done suing Googlerola maybe there will be some bones to pick over there too...
I don't see many good paths out for BlackBerry but at this point if they can find the people to pony up $1.25 bil from their perspective, why not give it another go.
Time to break out the popcorn though, it should be interesting to see how the MicrApple patent trolling venture goes. They paid a hefty $4.5bil for that fishing net, should be fun to watch what they can catch with it.

Microsoft, Apple and others actually use the IP, and Rockstar acts as an independent company. So... goodbye. Meet the Blocker.

The iPad in question was being removed from a security device with a screwdriver, the instructions specifically warn not to do it that way but to use the provided tool to twist it off.
One of the hazards of piercing a charged Lithium-ion battery with a metal screwdriver is that it can explode, which is what happened.
Businesses have to protect their copyrights or they risk losing them what happened in the second story is normal.
Back on topic, Apple should start buying BB shares and when they have enough launch a hostile take over then strip the company and keep the IP, maybe they can get Icahn to help.

There are too many nut-cases on the ledge.
They're someone else's problem. We just want them to jump and go away for good.
Hey AOA1. You always have the choice of leaving this site, so... why don't you so you can spout your brand of truth somewhere else... then, catch some extra sleep. Guys likeyou are a dime a dozen and not worth that much.

Got a link for that? I can't find mention of that being the cause.
I am no shareholder of them, but I think they're right there... The patents have a massive value (ask Apple... they know). This value is not going away in the few months that are coming, so the stakeholders should definitely try one more tie... and sell the patents after that if they fail.
Now again, some here would say that it's not worth trying. They oviously should also sell Apple, since one day, Apple will day, so why try

It's not.

Filthy Hobbitses!
I hope Rockstar ends up buying BB patent portfolio. It´s the only thing left with value.
BlackBerry really had no interested buyers. Their IP is outdated and essentially worthless.

Talk him down from the ledge? WTF?!
You're free to be an unreasonable person but I implore you to be reasonable every now and then.
Then call him out on it, talk to him and ask him what's up, talk him down off of the ledge.
Doing that would require feeding a troll. It's best not to feed the trolls.
Can I just snipe him instead? Maybe he'll Wilhelm scream on the way down.

So, what is it worth? And, who's interested?
It would be good if you can also provide cites.
