So the cat is out of the bag. This phone is only for the american market, and will probably replace the t68i. we've seen some similar pictures before. But here it is without "orange" printed all over it.
<strong>Isn't this the same as the olmec-head phone that was posted a while back?
I am not sure that the proportions are the most aesthetically pleasing. <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" /> </strong><hr></blockquote>
Not to be overly technical, but the one with "Orange" printed all over it was a version of the T300 made for Orange. It looked somewhat similar, yes, but this more resembles the T600 series. Notice there is no picture with the screen on.. the T60x series does not have a color screen, unless it has been specifically added by request. This is actually the T606 that you have displayed here, tentatively made for Verizon, the T608 is made for Sprint.
There is also the T106 (basic, very tiny, monochrome display) and T306 (fun, color phone, may use the fabled red faceplate, may include MCA-25 camera attachment), and you can view all of the lovely upcoming provider-specific Sony Ericsson models here on PhoneScoop:

Indeed it is. Thanks for the link. looks like a color screen to me. black and all...
I seem to remember that the T610 wouldn't come to US shores. It will definitely be nice to have a BT phone alternative to the T68(i) on T-Mobile or AT&T's GSM networks here in the US.
I have a feeling that we will see an explosion of BT phones in the US market and their compatibility with iSync, iCal, Address Book and .Mac. To wit, Think Secret posted a great article today, which details some of the features expected in iSync 1.1 and 2.0.
You're right that the t610 won't be here in the US, but the t616 will be. It has the same form as the t610.
That's great because the T608 is butt ugly. I assume the T616 will simply use different (US) GSM frequencies from the T610. Do you know when the T616 is supposed to reach the US market? Can you provide a link to the info?
The t608 is the only CDMA phone with Bluetooth for now.
Does Verizon use CDMA (like Sprint)? If so, I wonder whether Verizon will offer the T608 as well. I've been tempted to get a Tri-band GSM phone with inexpensive T-Mobile plan so that I can use it in Europe as well. But the limited GSM coverage in the US has held me back. Comparing coverage maps between T-Mobile USA (GSM) and Verizon is quite shocking.

Well, Google and MobileTechNews answered my questions. The T616 will run on GSM 850/1800/1900 frequencies and should become available Q2 of this year. Ah, the Google bar in Camino is just so convenient.

Yes, Verizon uses CDMA. I believe that the t608 is a Sprint exclusive, but I've heard from Verizon users that Verizon will activate any phone on their network (unlike Sprint).
I've thought about going to a GSM network too, but I've kept with Sprint because they have the best rates on data. I'm after a good deal on wireless data with a phone that's compatible with iSync. I'm guessing that the t608 will be compatible with iSync. If it's not, I'll definitely be after a t616. It's much nicer looking anyway.

yup... the sideview is new.
As much as it's uncool to like Nokia's design these days, the 7250 is probably the best looking phone out there, IMO.
Is it just me, or is it the 'cool' thing to like T-Mobile and Sony-Ericsson around here?
Give me a dark grey 7250, please. S-E's design, while nicely minimal, is poorly proportioned on this one.

Well yeah. That's the only way you can use iSync and Bluetooth to synchronize your address and calendar data between your Mac and phone right now.
My fave is still the <a href="http://forums.appleinsider.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=8&t=000490" target="_blank">Siemens S55</a>. It's absolutely gorgeous. If only it worked with iSync.
