The funny thing is that if NYT used Google's contextual ads, which selects ads based on page content, it would probably display ads for scuba gear or discount air fare. And nobody would complain. Because Google.

    Come off it!

    Apple never did anything wrong!

Passengers on Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 where probably Android users anyway. So, who really gives a rat's ass about a bunch of Asians? They probably wanted to steal Apple's innovations....

Non-story. Just a coincidence. Of course, I love watching the "greatest paper in the world" look like fools.

But at least we don't have to pay for a television license. ????

Yet many of us are now, here the USA ... preferring to pay for a subscription to the likes of Netflix to avoid ads on live TV. Life goes full circle for me ...:D

Interesting enough, an ad for Bluestar (a chartered private jet service) accompanies this AI article.

That's what happens when you automate tasks. No human oversight leads to unfortunate gaffes.

This article made me wonder if anyone tried using "Find my iPhone" to find the plane.

Ads are random. Visit Macworld.com and all their online ads are for PCs. Even their iPad articles had online ads pushing the Samsung tablets. Refresh and you get another PC ad. Proves how worthless Macworld is. It is an unfortunate coincidence that an undersea ad was displayed next to the crashed airline story.

Yet you are here reading AppleInsider, which is biased, parochial, poorly researched, poorly written, ad-bait/click-bait trash.

    Yep.

    1. Pilot taking call from mistress on iPhone when should have been flying plane.

    2. iPad running flight manual crashed due to iOS7.

    3. Consignment of MacBook Airs caught on fire (lithium batteries).

There are ads on AI? Who knew?

How is coral reef exploration in any way related to the accident?

The plane is assumed to be in water.  Apple ad has water in it.  All ads that contain water for the next 2 months are offensive.  /s
