I didn't see it, but I have seen the iPod ads a lot and they aren't that bad. All Apple really needs to do is show people using iTunes, iPod, iMovie, and Image Capture, games etc. and all in OSX. Hardware specs don't work for Apple, so they don't need to use those. Apple needs make clear that you can do a lot of neat stuff right out of the box with your Mac.

That's because the supremely cute and sexy Cheri Oteri isn't there.

Now THAT'S a funny woman. Rosie and Whoopi should take notes and learn something.

Hmmm. I like SNL. I think it's still funny. I miss David Spade, but Tracy, Cris, and that tall guy are hilarious. Jimmy and Tina a cool too.

I must have stepped out on the iPod skit, I can't recall seeing it.

So can someone explain why some shows go to great lengths to hide the Apple products? I saw a PowerBook Ti on a show that had strategically placed post-it notes covering the logo. On Home Improvement they placed a strawberry sticker over the logo. I see this a lot on TV. What gives?

Well I might be able to shed a little light on the whole product placement topic, as I just happen to work for a company that does product placement for some of the other companies mentioned above. First from what I have been told Apple does not pay for product placement in TV shows or Movies, instead they usually offer the equipment to the people on the show at cost or lower (something a lot of other computer companies do not do, thus one reason for Apple?s great placements). As for why Apple logos are often covered up, it usually happens when there is no agreement between the production and Apple or another company has paid for their product to be placed in the product and do not want their competitors logo shown (how often do you see a Coke logo next to a Pepsi one?).

I do remember there was an article written about this a while ago but I do not remember where I saw it.
