Is there a place in NYC that's going to show the keynote live, through satellite? Perhaps a Mac reseller? Thanks for any info on this.

The Apple market Center always shows it. You have to register for a ticket though. the registration is not up yet but probably will be either tomorrow or friday when they go back to work.
The Apple Market Center is in the Citicorp Building in Manhatten. 54th and Lexington. Nice place. several rooms to watch

That's only about 5 blocks from where I work. Wonder if I can weasel my way out of here and into there.
Let's see, the keynote is 2 and a half hours. I can definitely see either the first half, or the second half. I guess the second half would/should have all the good stuff.
Maybe I'll get there a half hour into it and take an extended "bio-break". Good chance to meet the 'nut anyhow.
Don't wanna register if I can't go though, that would NOT be the Mac way.
I don't know how schools work up there, but in Virginia I just get my mom to write a note to get me out early. Then we just go to the center.

I wish it was that easy. No way my parents will let me miss school (even if it is only 2 periods).
** IF SEATING BECOMES AVAILABLE, YOUR REGISTRATION WILL BE CONFIRMED BY EMAIL **
** SEATING IS FOR CONFIRMED REGISTRANTS ONLY **
Perhaps a standard such? If I get a seat, see ya there.

I'm not going to register b/c there is a good chance that I wont be able to go, but what if I showed up w/o registering? Standing room only? Would they actually turn me away?
Which is better: register and not turn up? or not register and show up looking for a seat?
Check to see if your cable system has TechTV as they are broadcasting the keynote live. Also it's possible that CNN or CNBC may break in live if SJ shows anything "unusual" during his presentation.
Time Warner Digital calbe carries techtv in nyc thtas how i'm watching it in manhattan in my humble abode

WOAH, what channel?
The rectory in my school has digital cable... HMMM could be intresting...
Dunno tho. I watched TechTV for MWNY (why I wasnt @ the JJC to watch the telecast is beyond me--I am so mad I didnt know about it...) and I'd rather not have to deal with their comments again. Also, they kept on talking WHILE steve was talking and even cut to the studio a couple of times...
I dunno, it's a toss up: stay in school and cut class, or cut school and go to the seminar. I HOPE there is enough snow!!!
In a letter posted elsewhere on AI, TechTV promises to behave itself. Brent Larson is going to be the host and he's a Machead.

And should you not show up, I strongly doubt Apple's going to break down your door over it.

It's oversubscribed, but they'll have overflow rooms, too.
