We also all know about ecoli outbreaks.

Doesn't mean we like to see them.

    Hmmm, lets see now...

Apple just announced/released a new iMac? Yes

David of ZD is going to live with a Mac for a month? Yes

He has decided to use a G3 instead of waiting to use a G4, which is now being standardised? Yes

Don't get me wrong here, but he has chosen the WRONG machine at the WRONG time. Maybe he wants to show you his so-so experience with the Mac after the month is over and jump back to Wintel land! Seriously, if he was to do this to get an idea of where Apple is now, he could wait a friigin month and do his comparison on a spiffy new iMac, not on a G3-based machine which is ho-hum on OSX(even though we love those lil machines).

IMO....one of the things that keeps people going back and forth between Mac & PC and can't settle down is because of Apple's underpowered while overpriced hardware.......

Looks like Apple heard about this, and gave him a G4 iMac and G4 PowerBook to play with. AND they had him at Apple, showing him all the bells and whistles. Lucky bastard.

Lucky guy. At least he gets to use OS X on two G4 machines.
