I think your 12" iPad is coming but it will weigh about the same as a iPad Mini with more ram, so the best of both worlds. Within a year.
How can a 12inch iPad weight the same as an iPad mini? The iPad Air weights about 1 lb, which is more than the mini. I think the 12 inch model will probably come in at what the older iPad 4's came in at. I think 1 1/2 lbs for a tablet is the most anyone would want to carry around. The battery alone will probably come in at around 1 lb for a 12 inch model. Plus, i doubt Apple's going to make a top end tablet out of plastic. Maybe carbon fiber or some other material they haven't released yet. Liquidmetal?????????? I think a lot has to do with the battery since it would be a 64 bit model, high res display, at least 128GB of Storage, etc.

I’d be fine with a 1.5lb. 12” iPad, frankly. It wouldn’t be a change for me. " src="http://forums-files.appleinsider.com/images/smilies//lol.gif" />
1) There are lots of apps that measure the heart rate. It's just using the camera and flash. These have been around for a couple years.
2) I thought it was measuring the speed of the light to dark changes as the heart pumps blood which then changes the pressure and therefore the density. I didn't think it had anything to do with a specific redness.
In the early 1970's as university students, we made a heart rate monitor using 7400 series TTL logic, 7 segment LED numeral displays and a cloths peg mounted lamp and phototransistor. We'd sit and try to drop our heart rate for bio-feedback fun. The lamp (a tiny incandescent bulb) shone through a hole in the peg to illuminate the phototransistor through a finger to which the assembly was clamped and sensed blood density changes at each heartbeat. Even discussing heart-rate sensing today as a feature in any device is amusing.
Who would that be, obviously not people who have downloaded these types of App on iPhones over the last couple of years.
With Apple customisation is a choice not given to Samsung buyers who forsake phone memory on things that may not be needed.
I'm...not exactly sure what you mean, but I recall some users on this site mocking the GS5's heart-rate monitor, and describing it as both "useless" and "a gimmick". The latter might be true, given Samsung's history with hardware quality, but definitely not the former
I disagree. I am yet to come across an Android site (yes I do, because I own a Moto G), that doesn't aimlessly ridicule Apple. There are mature users who genuinely rationalise, but a majority (like AI users) are still anti-Apple.
You're lumping in the readers with the article writers. Most Android sites do not publish anti-Apple articles. It's no fault of the site if the readers post anti-Apple comments. Many times the comments are Samsung vs Moto vs HTC vs LG.
As for the ad, it was very typical of Apple's style. I didn't really notice anything special about it. It was interesting how they threw in the heart-rate monitor as a dish to Samsung, but it'll be fun to see how those who decried a heart-rate monitor as useless will react to this.
It is useless to have a seperate sensor when it's been available on iPhone in an app for years using the camera and flash.

Great ad, love it!
Thx Bear. I'm waiting for apple's iWatch. I'm looking fwd to see what they will bring to the table as far as health and fitness.

Android is mostly for untalented people who lack creativity and for people who suffer from dulled senses, or maybe they're just on heavy drugs.
I feel lucky because to find this forum so i will visit this forum many time. Thanks
I'm the creator of an app called OnSong which is in the top ten paid music apps for iPad.

Thanks for the video. It was impressive. It's great to see that Fairlight lives on, so many artists used it to compose music in the 80s.
C'mon mate, they're not the 'enemy'! They're a good people, just a bit misguided and misrepresented.
So said the devil.

Another great Australian invention.
Does anyone know the name of the app the launches the model rocket, and adjust the stage lights?
HOW do you attach your iphone to the guitar or bass like the guitar player in the beginning of the 'powerful' ad?
I get that he's using Amplitube and iRig
but how is the phone attached to the body of the guitar like that?
You have several options.
True but none of those attach the iphone to the guitar as shown in the picture.
Is there some kind of clamp, or suction cup?
Double sided tape?
It's placed there so neatly, unlike other options I've seen involving bulky plastic clamps.
