I bet it uses an Intel processor instead of one from IBM/Moto and probally runs Windows instead of MacOS

No, no your right, they dont compete in the same product space. They dont because the iBook overlaps 3 product spaces in one. It overlaps the ultra portable space, pro sumer space, and consumer space all in one little package.

Both the iBook and TiBook are minimalist in design. It's hardly a blatant copy. It's like convergent evolution. Dolphins vs. sharks...
