I have the original iBook SE that came out. Didn't need it then-don't need it now, but still love it!

yes, replacing the HD voids the warrenty. it also takes about two to five hours to complete, depending on how fast you work. on top of that, it involves some serious pulling/tugging on your case.

i don't recommend that anyone try it unless they're really sure of their abilities, or they have money to burn.

it was a pain in the ass, but i went from 10 gigs to 20 gigs, so it was worth it.

I know some people that would be happy to take it off your hands.

    iceBook 500/10GB/384/AirPort/OS X 10.1.2

    Attached:

    -Apple Pro Keyboard/Mouse

    -IBM ViaVoice Mic

    -Deakjet 882c

-Handspring Visor Prism (which refuses to sync, but that's a different topic...)

    -LaCie U&I 24x10x40x CD-RW

Got it in June, and I absolutely love it! It's perfect for school projects.

I, too, have a boarding pass for this flight to iBooktopia. It comes in the form of a 366 Graphite SE.

(what the hell am I talking about?)

At least my iBook still works (somewhat)

Right now I am burning a pocket CD-RW disc (those things are kick-ass!), listening to music, and posting a message here and there are no interruptions in anything.

Leonis started this thread, but he's not truly faithful to his iBook since he's talking about selling it (and his Powermac) to trade up to a dual 1ghz. I'm so faithful to my iBook I wouldn't trade it for anything (except, um, maybe a Ti 667).
