FTC Just announced they're suing Amazon over in app purchases... ?
Amazon was offered a settlement and fine but turned it down saying they do not believe they need to alter their rules at all. So the FTC was backed into suing them today.
It's still not Apple's place to see that the law is applied equally. The side effect of having users that are more educated, and of a higher economical status is that they call politicians when they can’t get a problem rectified. Enough calls to enough politicians gets the attention of a government agency.
You seem to continually shift your argument. That is not the issue that you stated in the comment I replied to. Apple is well within it's rights to do exactly that. Total BS. Apple didn't tell anyone to do anything. They just pointed out an inconsistency. It's still up to the Government on how they move forward.

Where I'm from that's called 'dry snitching'.
