    Jobs no longer runs Apple.

And the fact that you both had to go back decades to find something even comparable to what I mentioned earlier only bolsters my point.

The current Apple management team have hundreds of millions of dollars between them. They fall within that wealthy and influential category that you speak of. They are in the prefect position to misbehave and get away with it.

    Yet where is the lying?
    The cheating?
    The drink driving offences?
    The drug related incidents?
The gaudy mansions in multiple locations around the world?
The fast women and even faster cars?

    There is almost nothing.

And that is very telling about their characters.

All I'm saying is, given a choice between the management at Apple and the management at Google, I trust, and would choose, Apple every time.
You are correct. We don't know much if anything at all about the private lives of Apple executives. As it should be since it has nothing to do with the quality or value of Apple products. Remember the recent stories on Tim Cooks' private life? I would guess you'd be firmly in the camp of "it's none of our business". Don't hold a double-standard.

    LOL.

You realise that you just made an assumption about what my answer would be and then chastised me for it?

You also seem to think you are able to dictate my opinion.

Which recent stories are you referring to about Tim Cook?

You're welcome to opine on whether his personal life is anyone else's business and how it might or might not affect Apple products. Seems you have fairly strong opinions in that area.

It staggers me that you would compare men betraying the trust of wives, partners and business associates with an individual being gay.

    Just staggers me.

He took her in after denying he had anything to do with her. Always nice to know your dad fought tooth and nail to avoid his responsibilities and eventually came to his senses.
Oh by the way I can comprehend what he eventually did.

How on earth you know they were betrayed and which side is to blame if either (and that no one in Apple management hasn't ever done so) is beyond me. You pretend to know all about their family dynamics, why they married, why they are still married (if they are) and what reason they'd have for for their actions, and resulting in your claim of betrayal. You are adult enough to understand that people live together and/or get married for reasons that may not require unrequited love be involved. I personally know (and you probably do too) couples together for only the money, power or prestige. And if you can't think of anyone look no further than a recent former President and the wife who chose to stick around (perhaps to further her own political career?)

Just staggers me that you're so judgemental of others personal lives, or at least certain others. Just because news of a transgression doesn''t make it to the mainstream press doesn't mean nothing of the sort happens. Everyone thought Brin and his wife were a golden couple in love until somewhat recently. Had she not filed for divorce as many avoid doing the news might never have come out and remained a private family issue. In any event how someone outside my immediate family chooses to lead their life is hardly my business just as I'm pretty sure you don't want anyone meddling in or judging yours. No one knows why you do what you and do and how you rationalize it except. . . YOU. Correct me if I'm mistaken.

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. People of wealth can easily hide their indiscretions.

From an environmental standpoint, steel is not as recyclable as aluminum.

From a manufacturing perspective, steel is a more difficult material to work with than aluminum.

Various Apple products are milled from a solid piece of aluminum because the metal is relatively soft; the waste material can be easily recycled at a fraction of the energy required to make new aluminum from bauxite ore. Apple does this because milling can result in a highly complex parts that aren't readily attained by other manufacturing processes like stamping or extrusion.

As far as I know, Apple's steel parts (like the back of iPod classics, previous iPod touch generations) have never been milled from a single block of steel. This is why Apple has invested so much in their partnership with LiquidMetal: the ability to extrude or form complex shapes in alloys that are far stronger than aluminum.

3D printed metal parts are the future.

First I would absolutely LOVE for you to explain how you came to compare men who cheat and betray the trust of their partners with people who are gay.

I'd REALLY like to know how you came to decide on that comparison...

    You are bang-on-the-money for this.

His comprehension of the situation is extremely limited at best.

True. Anyone can try to make the best Android compatible device. But it's Android OS that totally sucks. I got a samsung galaxy tab 2 and after an hour of using it I wanted to break it in half. Got it used thankfully and resold it.

the recent posts shows that Xiaomi is really a non-news... hahaha

now going back to the topic and just wanted to share what is happening on other parts of the world, Xiaomi is really a hot commodity here in Asia... they would usually sell phones (and much better than Samsung's products) on a weekly basis thru their website and it is gone in a few minutes sometimes seconds... these are like 5000-1000 units gone in less than few minutes or less... too little as they might not have the capacity to mass produce... if they only can, Samsung will be afraid...

as for the reviews, they are getting good ones too... and their top of the line, mi3, costs half compared to most Android top of the line handsets and is the main reason why they are selling like hotcakes...

though of course, they are still Android... so even if the phone is good or even great, the OS still is not...
