The article left out this part, just below the fold (emphasis mine):

"Now you can stream live, out-of-market NFL games on your favorite device without a DIRECTV satellite TV subscription if you live in an apartment building where DIRECTV service is not available, attend one of these universities, or live in the following metro areas: New York City, Philadelphia, or San Francisco."

This means that, excluding the locations above, if DirecTV is available in your area then nflsundayticket.tv is only available WITH a satellite subscription. I entered my own address to check my eligibility and I can't get this service without a DirecTV subscription.

It also seems that you need to be out of DirecTV's reach in order to qualify. I tried signing up and was told my address doesn't qualify, but would I like to purchase DirecTV? Ha, no.

I know the DirecTV deal is lucrative for the NFL but the technology restrictions are retarded.

billions of dollars. ($10 billion a year just in advertising)
tens to hundreds of millions of dollars per school
    every year.

No I get your point, I just think it's wrong and ridiculous.

NYC, Phila and SF ONLY !!   Oh, and some colleges.

    Everyone else - you're SOL.

What a dumb move. Raising everyones hopes and then dashing them. I hope they get some serious blowback about this.

    Hello everyone,

I have a question / suggestion about the address for this NFL Sunday Ticket . tv..... When I put in my address, it says I can't get it because I can receive directv at my current residence, however I'm thinking of a loophole system that might work. Let me know if ya'll think this will work.

I was going to use my friends address which is elgible to receive these offers, and where it asks for the credit card information since the billing address is grayed out and you can't change it, I was going to use a prepaid visa gift card to pay for it. I'm thinking that will work as in some cases when using a prepaid visa gift card, it asks you for the billing address and you can just use your friends address.... Problem solved.   What does everyone think about that?

I think this is a good idea.  Have you tried it? I'm thinking about doing this as well.

    Hi!

There's a new site, http://nfl2go.com, has the games in HD, and it's introducing features like multiple games mosaic, and will be available for iPhones and iPads (It seems that it's in final stages of development). You can tr it as a serious alternative for watching HD games. The site has no ads, btw.
