I haven't updated yet because neither my iPad nor my iPhone have enough space!  I need to clear space to install.  I'm pretty taken aback at the size of the update.  Over 6GB for iPad and over 4 with iPhone.   Given my iPad mini is only 16GB, that's pretty large.  Even my 32GB iPhone 5 doesn't have enough room.

    Just download it through iTunes.

You're right that fixed the issue.

The keyboard won't come up at all for me in when trying to respond to a notification of a text message. I get the text field and cursor but no keyboard....
When posting problems like this, it might be helpful to include the hardware you're running on. Otherwise, since I have a 64GB 5S and these functions work for me, I would assume that you are on different hardware?

Hardware companies should be forced to list free space only, so memory card size minus pre-installed software.

Probably time to hang it up and just enjoy the products for what they are.

Without the Apple ecosystem to support those features, they just remain gimmicks. Last week my buddy showed me NFC payment with his s5 using Google Wallet. It didn't work and the CVS cashier had no clue what the issue was. My buddy blamed the terminal and used a credit card. Now when Apple rolls out their system, this will be the de facto payment method.

He also showed me the heart rate sensor. When the hell will I ever use my phone to check my heart rate...other than that 1 time I want to show it off. Not to mention the fingerprint scanner that takes 3 weird swipes to unlock. First to market is not usually best in market.

I think we agree here. What makes Apple products so great is that they are normally well rounded, have support and are easy to use. I'm just contesting this weird bashing that happens here like 'Samesung' or other weird name calling. Many of the large iOS 8 features are just Android features. "Ok Google", and third party keyboards have been around for awhile. Apple fell behind with Siri and it's kinda sad to see them in auto-pilot with the feature.

Actually, Control Center is improved. Better spacing and layout now. Looks cleaner.

Fair enough. Consider, though, that Samsung (Microsoft too) actively targets Apple in their ad campaigns. Apple hasn't openly attacked a competitor since the PC vs Mac days. So, when you constantly call down the thunder, you'd better be ready to back it up. Apple fanboys are dedicated and merciless, so be ready for them to defend their products.

That being said, I'm am a true believer in Apple's product and service development. Do you think that with the 5S fingerprint scanner, Apple "forgot" to include app-wide payment systems? Nope, they needed to roll out the fingerprint payment on their own services first before they screw with the rest of the retail world. They do this with every service. They keep it small and proprietary so they can work out the flaws before going mainstream. They did it with iTunes, Siri, Maps, Facetime, social media integration, and even screen size. Now you're going to see it in iBooks, iCloud, payments, media delivery, and wifi/BT communication.

Google Samsung's first watch and read all the issues with it. Then go look at Samsung's current iteration. That thing is ridiculous and I imagine will burn your wrist from the size and placement of the battery. Now I present to you the Apple Watch.

Same thing happened to me! I looked through the settings and didn't find option to change that. If I can't fix it soon I'll be in trouble as my whole family is using one icloud account!

Has anyone figured out what Apple means when it states iOS 8 can now seamlessly work with PDFs created on the Mac and shared via iCloud Drive. I am well aware of Good Reader but this sounds like it can now be done between Preview on the Mac and something on the iPhone /iPad from Apple as with iWork docs, not a 3rd party app. I have the Developer OS X 10.10 and can see no way to do this so far. What seems to be missing is an iOS equivalent of Preview!
