Samsung execs must be overdosing on Tums right about now.
Seems not so long ago all we read in the main stream media was reporting of the 'sales' of all things Samsung being off the charts and destroying Apple. Not so much today eh? Not that they ever ever checked if anything shipped was ever sold, only DED and PED seemed to question these 'sales'. I'd like to read some of those others actually eating crow in print.
Translation: I don't personally want to buy a larger iPhone, therefore Apple should not create one, damn the nearly other 6+billion people on the planet, with different preferences.
Got to admit I'd like to see the 5s upgraded to match the 6 hardware specs and join the line up as the baby, why not? Apple did add an iPad mini after all
And Microsoft is shipping 20% of every tablet it makes, the rest are written off.
You have to wonder why if that's true, Microshit don't cut back manufacturing to an as needed level. One day the countries of planet Earth will rise up against Microshit and sue them for the amount of their crap in landfills.
We don't know that. Samsung doesn't release sales figures. It talks about "shipments" but it's well-known that in the past a lot of that was channel-stuffing. And never a mention of returns.
Even Apple knows the iPad Mini is dying. That's why they gave it a weak refresh.
Maybe it is but that doesn't sound like the reason for a weak refresh.
People need to understand that Apple does a TON of research. They probably knew months ago that the iPad Mini would get canibalized when the PLUS is released.
Research can't tell you everything. For example, it still hasn't told Apple what the iPad update cycle will be like. We now know it's longer than the iPhone cycle but not much else.
I agree that some iPad Minis will turn up as iPhone 6 Plus sales instead. But then why keep the old Minis around ? Even back to the original ! There's something else going on here that we haven't yet understood.
Are we likely to ever get a breakdown of 6 vs 6 Plus sales? A lot of folks believe that the Plus heralds the death knell of the iPad Mini.
It'd be odd if it did: the LTE iPad mini is cheaper to operate with a larger screen so it's got advantages the iPhone, hobbled with voice system charges, will never beat. Though the unsubsidized upfront cost could deflect some interest.
There are plenty of iPhone6 & 6 's available....... on eBay.
Until they are able to prevent assholes from buying dozens of phones on launch day and scalping them online for $1000's, this will continue to be a problem. Sucks.
Just went to an EE store, they tried to fob me off with a 'phone from another company,(Guess which???), saying the the 6 camera was useless and that, "hadn't I heard", The 6 was liable to bend and break in two! Will Have to go on line for one. EE should get their act together and check out Appleinsider..

But Samsung is shipping every phone it makes.

So when does T Cook thank Samsung and the Galaxy for paving the way?
Where is the Thumbs Down button ????
