Yes, I'm certain that the concept of "noun apostrophe s" used in place of "noun is" is foreign to you. Unfortunately, that was sarcasm and you've made me laugh.

Now, should I also explain the purpose of the apostrophes in the above sentence, or shall we assume that you're only trolling?

No such option under iMessages in IOS8.1

I'm having the same trouble. I've been using iMessages on my Mac and on my 5S interchangeably for quite some time. I am no option under Setting >> Messages called "Text Message Forwarding"... Any help here? I did the update to iOS 8.1 and just updated to Yosemite yesterday.

Way for both of you to miss the point.

The contraction, while not an uncommon or incorrect usage, created a lack of clarity in the sentence and therefore was grammatically poor.

So get off the high horse.

'Humanity's' is the contraction of 'Humanity is' .

Lacking clarity in a 2 word sentence is quite a feat.

    Oh heaven's above, you're ridiculous!

It's a point of grammar, not comprehension.  I understood the sentence, and most probably would, but it's still a clumsy contraction.

Not the end of the world, we all do it, but a bit of a faux pas when you're making a point about grammar.  "Degrading" isn't a particularly good word to use in that context either, but you weren't being prissy about semantics.

For clarity's sake, could you tell us whether you mean 'oh heaven is above' or 'oh above of heavens'?

I found it a bit unclear. Thanks in advance.

Only worked with Bluetooth was turned on with both devices.  Thanks Apple!  Another way to suck the battery life out of my iPhone and Macbook Pro.

Humorously, his apostrophe is the one that is wrong. “Heavens above” is simply plural.

Might be limited to some carriers. I'm in Europe.

Very true, how embarrassing.  You have my apologies.

Like I said, we all do it.

    (There, that's how it's done)

Ultimately another rubbish update from Apple. I have iMessages turned off on my iPhone 4S due to previous problems with iMessages not being sent/received.

I discovered by accident that it appears that if I send an SMS, and the recipient replies via iMessage, the message is sent only to my iMac but NOT my iPhone. The messages appear on my iMac with the sender's Apple account ID.

If I send from a device, and the recipient replies, I expect a response on my device. Is that too hard?

The easiest way to avoid this Apple synchronisation debacle is to switch to an Android phone (and keep using my 6 Apple devices at home).

Really, when will Apple work out synchronisation and the cloud?

It can't get it to work. Help. I think I've everything set up right for it to work, but my Mac doesn't want to display this key-code.

    CAN'T SET IT UP :-(

I have an iPhone 4S with iOS 8.1 and a MacBook Air running Yosemite. Text message forwarding is not an option in the Messages setting. I have iMessage installed on my MacBook. What am I missing??
