And it's not like they don't let people who can't support children get married¡

I nearly got mugged once and pretended I had a gun and got away with it. Does that count? Amsterdam, dark area near a canal ... true story! :\

I've done that, works every time. ;)

    You've answered your own questions.

That beautiful poem contains one of the two great Commandments:

    Love thy neighbour as thyself.

Which God? God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

If you don't believe in God, then you're human. But I think it’s important to try and find Him.

Does it make you less open to salvation? That's not for me to say.

First you're talking to hardened hearts, and second it's God that will find them.

Man this world truly is hopeless

What do you mean by little kids? And who is forcing who to abort?

People are going to have sex regardless. There are many measures women can use to avoid pregnancies, but like I said earlier, accidents happen. So you are fine with forcing women to keep a child in an unwanted pregnancy?

I don't consider myself a hardened heart -- rather an open mind …

I have been a member of Lutheran, Methodist and Baptist churches.

I found many good things about all of them but they were ultimately not satisfying some inner need.

I have quite a few Catholic friends and respect the way they raise their children.

My second wife was Catholic although she had to give up the church in order to marry me.

Our daughter and her three children are being raised Catholic with my full support and approval!

Both my daughter and granddaughter teach CCD classes in their church.

I have a strong faith that there is a stronger power out there that guides our destinies.

I admire people who believe in right and wrong -- treating people with dignity, regardless of their beliefs -- and expect the same in return.

I imagine that would affect [@]Apple ][[/@] most of all. Does he not support Apple or does he support a dirty liberal?

    LOL

I've had a gun pulled on me twice, once because I wasn't Hispanic. What special "rights" and privileges does that earn me?

    No special rights at all.

I think if you were to look back over the demands of the gay rights movements since Stonewall, you would discover that they are simply for us gays to be accorded the same human rights as are routinely afforded to heterosexuals. Nothing more. Nothing less. Seems reasonable to me. These are called human rights for a reason.

I'd never try it again but I had been drinking and it seemed a good idea at the time.

Don't put words in my mouth. I was simply asking a question, not making a statement. Making a statement and asking a question are two different things.

I apologise - and of course they are different.

In answer to your question, here is just one example. I could, depressingly, provide many, many, many more ...

Expect some page 3 news release on Obamacare rates going up...

Well I don't know about the President's care (since a single payer system was nixed) but the insurance companies are raising rates by an average of 21% in a few weeks I have been told. Remember there is no care from anywhere but insurance companies as always, they just can't drop you, refuse you or cap you now (that's the change in 2014). They can raise the rates as they see fit it would seem.

    Whoa! Those are beautiful!

What are the long-legged heavy-bodied gray birds that look like emus?

I'm upstairs now, but later I'll go down and look at these on my new 5K iMac 27.

Excuse OT but at 487 does it matter?

Hey nice Mac! I want an Apple 5K monitor for my nMac Pro :(

Thank you kind sir. Glad you like them. As I say wild life stuff new to me but I'm a quick study. Some will be 5K if you view original but as I say I have to reload the ones I did from within Aperture as I am new to using Flickr and didn't know it would do its own thing with RAW.

Those are the Sandhill Cranes. They walk into your backyard they are fearless. I had two looking in the window yesterday they are huge and very friendly to humans luckily. Even Alligators leave them alone when adult. I've watched them stroll up to, step on and walk over large gators lying in the sun. They nest here in the lakes behind the homes and live year round.
