bobby try opening them all up, or portion by portion, and it 'll reload the fav icon too and show it.

Could be operator error on my part . . . . . but I see no favicons in the favorites bar - in Safari 7 you used to be able to just have the icons and no label what so ever.  Now it is just text.  There are no favicons in the tabs - Safari 7 had these and since table labels can be quite cryptic since they are derived from web pages titles and are sometimes not very descriptive especially as the tab spaces become smaller with more and more tabs open.  Finally, there are no favicons in the bookmark sidebar - which I use most often for navigating around the web.  All we have now is the little gray open book symbol and text.  I found it much easier to navigate with the icons and the text rather than now with just the text alone.

There are favicons in the bookmark manager/editor and they are in the bookmark drop down menu and visible in the location bar when you  click on it so the icons are available and stored but the design choice was made to not show them in places they have been in the past.  Just let me turn them on where I want them instead.

Someone will build an extension soon and I will be trying them all.  Have already downloaded something called SafariStand but have not experimented with it yet.

Yosemite dropped support, universally, for... what’s it called... not ‘fuzzy search’–that’s when you search for ‘rabbots’ and the engine is smart enough to give you results for ‘rabbits’... but being able to search for portions of a word and be able to come up with the word.

    For example, Spotlight does this:

    and Safari does this:

Hopefully this is just a bug. Hopefully it will be fixed in 10.10.1.

Also, Mavericks had beautiful selections in windows. When you multi-selected, it would modify the highlight to smoothly cover all items, rounding the corners of the selection. Why’d that go away? Geez.

There's a BUG in the Mail app that I hope gets fixed.  Mail frequently does not mark as "read" when you read it.  You click on a message....read it in the reading pane, and the little blue dot indicating a new, unread message remains to the left of the message.

If you want to clear it, you have to click on a different mail folder and then click back on the Inbox folder.

Really irritating.  I hope there's a fix for this in the pending update.
