    Insiders are allowed to trade their shares... As long as the trades are revealed to shareholders. I don't see any secrets in that regard here.

    On the other hand, lying to shareholders and saying everything is "a-ok" is a problem. The fact that they lied makes them criminal ... I think ... I don't know all the laws and loopholes.

    Often times I think we don't pay attention to those insider CEO trades and figure they are just "diversifying their portfolio". It's not as if he was buying more of the company shares in order to "pump" them...
