Hate to say it, and I know it’s exactly what Adobe wants, but I’d sort of like to be able to reassign Pixelmator’s shortcuts to what I want. So accustomed to Adobe’s crap am I that I’m having trouble getting used to Pixelmator’s changes.
Then again, that’s also a good metric for determining whether Adobe is feeling threatened. Since they’re too stupid or lazy to unify their shortcuts across their own software, when the day comes that they do this I think that’ll be an indicator that they’re afraid of at least one competitor.
I guess I was commenting on the bulk of what was said in your reply. That being your distain for Adobe's default shortcuts. You dedicate half of two sentences to Pixelmator, while you devote two full sentences and half of two others to your displeasure with Adobe. I followed the herd.
If adobe's shortcuts are your main problem, you can change them easily. Shit, change them to match Pixelmator's! Then you can relearn just once and be proficient in both.
I hope a future update will ditch the silly floating palettes and implement a single window design where windows can be docked/undocked. Even Apple ditched the "floating palettes on top of the desktop" long ago. Pixelmator is great but they need to up the ante on some of the outstanding UX issues, including this one which has been requested for over a year.

AFAIK, TextEdit still has a floating color palette.

Oh yes the color palette is floating but that's because it's technically a plugin of some kind. Apps can invoke the color picker and get the selected color value returned from this plugin to the host application.
But Pixelmator in its entire is a floating pallet paradise, which isn't really necessary. I also think they should use their own color picker btw.

You seem to be.

My “disdain” is for Pixelmator’s inability to change shortcuts and Adobe’s inconsistencies therewith between their own software.
Fascinating.
Shut up Frost.

Other than that... Awesome app!
