There are two things I would like to see in the app.

The first is critical: the ability to choose a much larger font size for the comments in the forums.

The second is a nice-to-have: the ability to see the ratings, not just give them.

I browsed these comments the other day, but just did the iPad app update last night. When I read about better font control, I was hoping that the comment section would get the option to use larger fonts too. They are tiny! I guess not this time, so you got my vote on that one. I also agree with that nice-to-have.

To all: What's the best way to submit these suggestions to AI? I wouldn't think the forum comments or the reviews on the App Store would be the best place, and I don't see anywhere else in the web site.

Defend it all you want, Kasper. I deleted the iPad version as soon as the trial ran out. I'm not paying a subscription to access free content which can be had by booting up Safari. I'd love to see the numbers on how many folks have actually paid.

When you say 'free content', you are referring to ad-supported content. Paying for it removes the ads. It's not free vs paid, it's ad-supported vs paid.

Android is ad-supported, iOS is paid. This is exactly how ad companies win over consumers because price trumps everything for a lot of people.

It was already explained earlier you don't have to subscribe:

"We are simply giving you a completely ads-free experience for 30 days. After 30 days, if you do not want to continue with AI plus, you do absolutely nothing. Ads will appear in some places and the Favorite syncing and Push Notification customization will be inaccessible, but YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED for anything unless you specifically elect to subscribe. You will NOT be rolled into a paid subscription."

It's understandable that free signups most often do roll you into paid unless you cancel but it's been pointed out that's not the case here so there's no need to revert back to Safari if you prefer the app. You just signup to subscribe to get ad-free for 30 days and then if you don't want to pay, don't choose to pay. This is a good way for AI to get a sampling of how large their active app userbase is and set subscription pricing accordingly to cover operational costs.

A pity people don't read a thread first before posting.

Marv, does this now apply to the iPad version too? Because unless it's changed, that app became non-functional after 30 days. That's what I was talking about. And by "free," I mean free to the end user. Nothing more. If I can still use an ad-supported version after 30 days on both my phone and iPad, great.
