No, I wear a lot of vintage jewelry and stay away from main stream looking pieces. That's when I wear jewelry as I prefer going without except during special occasions. Again, I personally don't see the appeal of owning a smart watch, especially one that is going to be worn by millions of other people. If I wear a watch I would like it to be something that people don't see very often, special edition, limited run off and no a gold or platinum version of a watch that has already sold millions of copies isn't exclusive enough.  Even for practical usage I don't see the appeal, horrible battery, tiny screen, limited apps, obsolete in a very short period of time, etc. You may enjoy owning one but I personally think there just a silly geek toy.

Right, because utility is irrelevant, only have an air of being unique or the sake of being unique matters. This certainly explains why you're always pimping some unfortunate product you claim to be better than Apple's offerings.

Haptic feed back is patented.  And Apple really is the first to deploy anything like it.  I won't claim to be an expert but unlike rounded corners or swipe to unlock, I think this patent is a lot easier to defend and enforce.

Oddly the sales of main stream pieces vastly outpaces that of vintage or custom pieces.  So I guess most women don't mind as much as you do.

Some people need to dress uniquely because they are shallow, boring, and mindless creatures that need to do so.

    1. Resale value. You'll get some of that $399 back when you trade-in or sell on your Apple Watch should you feel you need to upgrade in three years. Peeps in India and China will be waiting for your old one to be available at a discounted price.

    2. Camera remote controller and view screen. Do you have one? How much would you, or someone into using their iPhone or GoPro camera, pay? GoPro charges, I think $70 for a smart remote, but I don't think it includes a view screen. Your Apple Watch will serve that function.

    3. AppleTV remote and controller for beaming content via Airport wireless from your Mac, iPhone, or iPad to your AppleTV. Got one of those that's conveniently strapped on your wrist?

    4. Replacement for car and home keys, and workplace security FOB, so you no longer have to carry any keys or pull your phone out to unlock doors. Got that yet? How much will that cost separately?

    5. Remote for home control, heating and air conditioning, lights, home security. More convenient on your wrist than on your phone.

The list goes on. You aren't replacing your Seiko watch with just another watch. You're getting many other appliances in the deal. But you have to charge those much more often. Sorry. You give up something to get so much more.

These are conveniences for sure, but some might argue that they are quite minor especially since, as you noted, your phone can already perform those functions and much more. And what do you give up for those conveniences compared to a traditional watch? For starters, you'll have to stay within 18 hours of a power outlet at all times, which pretty much rules out any sort of camping trip or other extended outdoor excursion.

So dressing uniquely equals shallow, boring and mindless.

Therefore dressing like everyone else equals deep, interesting and thoughtful.

    Got it.

Well i wear watches i like them, i have a few, and the idea of the ?Pay is very appealing to me. I cant wait to get it. What ever your point of view is i feel apple has done something good here and as somebody said before they might just do an Iphone on the watch industry. The watch industry wont die just like the phone or car industry hasnt die. They adapt to the times and change. Just like cars some watches are classics and more expensive and some are modern and expensive there is room and buyers for both. 1960 ferrari or 2015 ferrari are they not almost as expensive and arent people also willing to buy either?
(I know apple doesnt do cars just an analogy)

There's always those portable battery packs that should be able to charge the Apple Watch for around 7 cycles+ (most small battery packs are around 3000mAh).  I'm sure if you're worried about your watch, you'd have a bigger battery pack for your phone as well anyways.

The watch has a power saving time only mode, where the battery lasts 72 hrs.

Also, most smartphones die within a day anyway, so what's your point again? Most people who camp still want a way to communicate with the outside world, which means having access to a power supply for their phone. It's hilarious how people like you are attempting to bring up extremely niche situations like multi day camping trips with no access to power in order to finish the watch, as if these situations are something that a significant portion of the population care about. Yes, if you're going to be in the middle of nowhere with no access to power for days/weeks/whatever, then it would probably be a good idea to bring along some other time keeping device. Thankfully, Apple can afford to lose that irrelevant demographic.

No, most smartphones last for a day only if you're poking them all the time. If left mostly on standby during your backpacking trip or whatever your adventure is (e.g. if you only use it to make or take emergency calls), any modern smartphone will easily last for several days. iPhones are rated for more than a week of standby time.

I had to look up Jezza. I had no idea that was a nickname for Jeremy. I wasn't even able to instantly deduce that's whom you referred.

I thought Jezza was ebonics for Jetta.

I passed on the Surface to my daughter to use while she is in School in Ireland. I did however just pre-ordered the new Asus T300 Chi, a Transformer model, only 7.3mm thick, 15mm when connected to the keyboard and it only weighs 1.58 lbs. Sounds interesting, especially for the price and specs, Aluminum body, 12" display, 2560 x 1440 resolution, Wacom Stylus, Core-M, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD, USB 3.0, micro USB, mini SD, mini HDMI, starts at only $800 for the 1080p model. I also use the BB Passport as my daily driver, best phone I have owned in a very long time, since my Nokia N950.

What's the price with the good display?
Is 1.58lb include the keyboard you just mentioned?
What is the battery life of the product?
Why does it look like you pimped all the positive sounding details and ignored all the useful ones?
