I also hope Belle is doing well. Does anyone know exactly what's wrong with her?

Yes, but since she hasn't said publicly, it's in confidence.

Much love and good will Belle's way.

Any way we might be able to help her out? PayPal collection drive to get her something?

I'm in. Whose collecting and purchasing?

And she has said so publicly, or at least electronically. Go back and check your post black-out AI history.

We just heard from her. She had fallen ill, but she's back!

    Give her a warm welcome.

    Whew! Welcome back, Belle.

Life without Belle doesn't have the same ring. (There's some sort of pun in there, I think.)

If you're looking for a gift, try the new (or perhaps upcoming) Sigur Ros CD. I believe she mentioned once that she was listening to the earlier one. (Not going to even attempt to butcher the icelandic spelling)

    powerdoc just expanded my vocabulary.

Were you looking for the word "amort", meaning "near death"?

I saw pale kings, and princes too,

    Pale warriors, death-pale were they all;

Who cry'd -- "La belle Dame sans merci

    Hath thee in thrall!"
    --- Keats

Welcome back, the one and only Belle.

Oh my, so many kind words. Thank you. You really are all much too nice (Even if some of you don't show it often enough, mentioning no Matsu's or groverat's... I mean names).

Many apologies for my unexplained disappearance. I hope my co-moderators haven't been too lenient in my absence? There better be no threads about iPads when I check Future Hardware... <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />

I will have to spend a little more time away from AI over the coming weeks, but these should (theoretically) be planned absences, so I'll be sure to drop a note before I go.

Now, time to have a wander through the forums, see what you've all been up to. I need a break from the mods forum, where Jonathan and Amorph, the crime-fighting duo, are still struggling into their tights...

Belle, I think I speak for everyone when I say we hope your absences will be few and far between in future and completely unnecessary with time.

    [edit]

And I'm very nice, just as Steve my fish. We are great pals.
