fixed the ai script manually. Running this on OS X, BTW. Maybe that has something to do with it. I copied and pasted the txt file info into the Script editor, erased all those  symbols and put the following stuff on one one. also, at one point the script "prompts" the user for their computer color when it should make a "transaction."

Thanks, Mithras! That was fun. A good show for Applescript too.
I'm at work on an improved version, with totally revamped code (the old was getting quite crufty), smoothing out the interface, and adding a coupla options (like downloading an icon to use for your hard drive). Should be ready tomorrow (Sat) morning.
Leonis, make sure you're downloading the version that starfleet posted? I think the iDisk one still has the bungled file.
BuonRotto: what's wrong with the ¬ symbols (at least when shown in the Western Mac character set, as I noted)? Also, my Standard Additions dictionary certainly says with prompt. It complains about 'transaction' only if you've broken the command onto two lines by deleting the ¬

Whoops, missed the part where you mentioned the text encoding settings. I had my OmniWeb set to Western (Windows Latin 1), which caused the screw up. Sorry! <img src="graemlins/embarrassed.gif" border="0" alt="[Embarrassed]" />
<strong>I ran the script and it said I was the first (800mhz TiBook) and said I should post it in a forum. I chose this one, but there was a script error.</strong><hr></blockquote>
Thanks. I caught the error (forgot a "my"), and it should work fine now. Curious to see the logic board ID for the new TiBooks!

Does anyone have a good set of fruit-colored iMac icons? The only ones I have are pretty cheesy looking:
I'm hoping for something more photorealistic.
[EDIT: The new version is up]
