For all intensive purposes, Apple TV is dead.

    I hate saying that.

Is it possible that many of these channels that require an existing cable/sat account will no longer require one after Monday? Perhaps they will unlock all the channels when their new service comes online.

So what you’re saying is that you would prefer fewer choices, not more, and that somehow having more choice is a bad thing? Also, how do you define a “useless junk channel”? Are they the ones that other people watch that you have no interest in? And how long does it take to hide a so-called useless junk channel: ten, twenty seconds tops?

Yes, they could do something to improve the user interface. The WWDC is coming soon. I am hoping that big things will happen next week.
