What did you expect exactly? It's a radio station. I think it's fine.
I think some people expected Apple Music to be a "disruption"--the way the original iPhone was a disruption. But they seem content to try and "move the needle" with this.
It will be interesting to use for free for the first three months, I am not a huge music lover, I listen to whats on in the car ride, and while exercising I use itunes radio usually just pop channel, even though I like more music then just pop.I hope it's somewhat like pandora where it will suggest songs, and you can either like or dislike them, I like feature they showed off in the keynote, where you can see what's coming next and change around the order.
I haven't read too much on it yet, but I'm curious at how the music is going to be on Beats 1? Are we going to hear Miley Cyrus followed by some completely different genre of music? Or will this be different shows like an hour of electronic, followed by an hour of pop hits, etc?
Still not clear to me if Beats 1 will include other formats or only one. In the long run, is B1 the only free station with only one goofy format? I don't mind listening to free classical, with commercials, but I'm not paying for it.
'Anyone will have access to the Beats 1 station.' Really? Also in Europe? That would be new.
Yes, Beat 1 will be accessible free of charge on the countries that Apple Music launches (supposedly +100 ones)

You can like and dislike a song to let the algorithm know your taste.
They're making mucho money from Beats hardware; you know those things are still selling don't you? Pretty sure it will all be paid back in 3-4 years... In the world of investment; that's one mighty good investment. That's not even taking into account the streaming part.

I see little disruption possible with a radio station. They presented it as such and didn't overhype it imo.

I'll be happy to stick to ClassicalSouthFlorida, NPR, and talk radio over the internet when not in my car (which has this free thing called a real radio). I guess if people pay for water they will pay for music.
