I think Beats 1 is going to be a lot bigger than the tech press can imagine.
There are online only radio stations but I don't think that any of them have this much being put behind them. Sirius XM is bleh. Horrible customer service and if it wasn't for the fact that they have contracts with auto manufacturers, I'd bet they would be in pretty bad shape. Pandora has a much smaller library but they have been around a long time. There's a legacy case. They are still pretty high in revenue being generated in the App Store. They have big issues with royalty payments though.
There has been a lot of criticism about Beats 1, but quite a lot of people don't realize that traditional radio still is a massive source of discovery and influence to regular folks. There is a specific reason why LA, NYC and London are the launch cities for Beats 1. They are some of the most influential markets for music.
I don't think the other streaming companies realize how much influence this is going to have. Music is emotional and while some think that algorithms can get a lot done, I don't think they can currently replace the feeling you get when you hear a song or artist that resonates.
Why would I pay $10 USD a month to access my own purchased music collection across all my devices
Apple's music library doesn't include everything that I have, i will tell you that much and they lose rights to tracks and whole albums. I learnt that the hard way when I tried to re-download an album i had purchased from iTunes only to discover 3 of the tracks gone.
Now even though I use iTunes Match I have all the music/movies/shows downloaded. What I did do when I first subscribed to iTunes Match after setup and upload was delete all the stuff I had for which iTunes had better or matched versions. Which has also made my library faster, lighter and higher quality while still being securely stored against the vagaries of rights management.

Apple Music will upload your music library to iCloud as well so somehow it includes iTunes Match features. Tunes Match will stay for now.
Um, I think 6.30 is pretty obvious to all but the most bone-headed.
It's not obvious to non US citizens when the day portion is 12 or lower. I've lost count of the number of times I'm left scratching my head over what the actual date is. This isn't just an Apple problem, but there are apps, Apple apps, that are not following the date convention of the country that the you have set the device to - so it should know. I'm in the UK and the Notes app on the iPhone dates all the notes using the US format. Very confusing and annoying.
I'm in the USA and I don't care for our date convention. Our military uses a convention like Europe and it makes more sense to me. It also eliminates any confusion by uusiing the first three letter of the month in place of a number 1 - 12. So today's date would be expressed as 25 JUN 15.

I know they are using this format in the US but I doubt they are using it in other countries that use different date format.
Interestingly on the Australian Apple site it deals with the issue by simply saying "coming soon"
iTunes Match will die slow and painful death.
I seriously hope not

well, I hope it stays at $25 a year instead of $120 a year.
that said, it is now buried on the website under Apple Music.. all the way down the page and under iTunes and then down.... and click again
so I am not hoping for great things, how sad
The question you need to ask yourself here is who is going to not understand this refers to June 30th, 2015?
Have you considered that it could be the 2015th day of the 30th month of the year 6? It's totally ambiguous.
I'm still a little confused about iTunes Match's role now
Assume: doomed
I bought a pair of PowerBeats2 Wireless over the weekend to replace my ageing earphones and in anticipation of the Apple Music launch come Wednesday!

I bought a pair of this last week for Apple Music too.

1 hour would be 115.2 megabytes @ 256 kilobits per second
Although, I'm guessing it will still have the offline mode just like Beats did/does currently.
