Could not have happened to a better company. I am betting that this is just Samsung's way of never paying Apple the money they owe.

Funny how samesong is still stuck with that. No creativity, so sad.

I would say the difference is Apple has a rough launch and still posts a record quarter. Samsung has a rough launch and revenue and profits slide.

Just saw a story that Satya Nadella is firing another 7,800 employees at Microsoft...this on top of the 17,000 they previously fired. ????

Prospective S6 buyers may have seen the Samsung phone as just an imitation of the iPhone 6, so why not go with the real thing? The S6 Edge has a more distinctive feature, which seems to have appealed to gimmick addicts. It also cannot be overlooked how many traditional Samsung buyers that company alienated by abandoning traditional features to once again "adopt" Apple design features as Samsung got desperate in the face of plummeting revenues with the S5 phones.

HTC profits are also down in the quarter. The combination point to Apple doing really well in the smartphone market where the iPhone 6 design was perceived as "just right" by the buying public.

The challenge for all smartphone companies is market saturation. This is where Apple has an advantage: while other companies just sell devices, Apple offers a whole ecosystem, including reaches into all kinds of media as well as electronic payments. Apple thinks strategically.

So why didn't they know that before? All I hear are claims that Samsung became successful by copying Apple, so why aren't they successful now?
