Apple provides public beta testers with third build of OS X 10.11 El Capitan
Members of Apple's OS X public beta program can now download the third pre-release build of OS X 10.11 El Capitan, the company's forthcoming Mac operating system update.
Enrolled members of the beta program can install El Capitan from the Mac App Store. Its release comes just one week after the second public beta of OS X 10.11 was made available.
Developers, meanwhile, have had five betas of El Capitan to date, with the most recent arriving on Monday. Developers have been testing OS X 10.11 since it was announced at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference in June, while the public beta debuted earlier this month.
Wednesday's public beta of El Capitan is likely identical to the developer beta that was supplied on Monday, identified as build 15A235d.
The latest build is said to have known issues with Photos, Apple ID and Language localization and formatting. Many problems can be traced back to iCloud syncing, likely due to incomplete or incompatible backend assets also in testing.
