And here we go... More of the references to mythical evidence.

How hard is it to just quote yourself?
Says the guy who can’t differentiate the people he’s quoting.
Ok, that is true. Auto manufacturers do have to adopt it. But until then it can be a CarPlay only feature.
So literally only people who have vehicles with CarPlay could so much as use their iPhones while in motion? The hundreds of millions of people who don’t have cars with CarPlay, much less cars at all, are just screwed? This is your best idea?
...maybe it could be a toggle in restrictions. If parents don't want their kids driving and texting at the same time, they can just turn it on there.
So the kid would turn it off or the parent just wouldn’t turn it on.
[sound of head smacking keyboard]
When I do that I just get random characters. You get a description of the event? Neat! When you push an elevator button, does the button make a noise that sounds like “Sound of an elevator button being pressed”?
But you still haven't read the wikipedia article that I linked to apparently.
Pedia? I don’t see one; that’d be why. Oh, that text was a link! Okay; thought it was just blue.
So, I stand by my case.
And yet they never will. This is a foolish, totalitarian idea and contradicts what Apple believes, never mind the rights of individuals and laws regarding their rights.
[Bam! Bam! Bam!]
Let me point out that insulting people about how mature they are is immature.
In what capacity? Embarrassment is a great teacher. If you’re embarrassed by a behavior–particularly publicly–you’re less likely to repeat it.
How about I say "Apple isn't going to make a car because I wouldn't like that." I wouldn't like Apple to make a car, so this one is a little close to my chest.
Really? The one thing that would actually make your nonsensical idea at least partially feasible and you don’t want them to do it?

I am literate. Are you sane? Yes? Ok... Just wondering.
I have read the thread. I have quoted you from the thread. Apparently I am missing something. You keep telling me that I'm missing something, but you don't tell me which part I'm missing. I've taken apart every piece of evidence I can find, and still there is "something more". You had better show me what you're talking about soon, or people will begin to think you are avoiding my question, which would be embarrassing. You might learn something from it soon if you don't show me your evidence.

What? Am I missing something here? Because.... yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
What are you referring to? Did I.... Misquote someone? You, perhaps? Where? [looks around and takes a few steps back]

Ok, we're getting closer... I intended to say that if you don't have CarPlay you can use your phone like normal while driving. If you have CarPlay when you are in the car you can only access your phone through Siri or CarPlay.

Well, I will point out that Restrictions are passcode protected and the passcode is not the same one you use to unlock your phone... But I think you are right on this one. Having it be a restrictions setting sounds kinda lame. That was kinda a brain fart. Sue me...

Mayybeeee.... I uh... Well, not... all the time...
Actually, that's just how I put sound effects in writing. I also do that when I want an air raid siren. It's also the way I write my thoughts during writing. [yeesh.]

Hey, I've heard you say "embarrassment" before...

Embarrassment is an extraordinary teacher. You always remember embarrassing moments and you always seek to not repeat them. Make fools of those who would text while driving or who support said behavior.
Oh, yes. That's it. I have a question about that. To a certain extent that's what we're doing now. If the police catch someone speeding while driving, they pull them over and (as it seems to me) take as long as they like and make as big a scene as possible to write them a ticket. But that's not the point. This thread is about what Apple can do to help. So, are you suggesting that when you start speeding your phone will automatically take a selfie of you doing 90 and post it on twitter? They could tag it "#BuffoonsOnTheRoadGoing90MPH." It would be an instant hit.
Or, every time you speed Tim Cook could ride up in his breaches on a motorcycle and wag his finger. Then pull away while the driver watches and smashes into the center divider and a pile of large yellow barrels.
So, in other words, what do you suggest we gather from this observation?

Wait-I thought that my idea was unfeasible because of the low install base in cars of CarPlay. If Apple made a car, there would be an even lower number of Apple Cars than there would be cars with CarPlay, as Apple has deals with all the major car brands out there now. If Apple made a car, they would be competing with all those cars instead of working with them.

Maybe so. The fact is, you can't peer deep into Apple's mind anymore than I can. And we could sit here all day and debate what Apple will do next. But that would be a darned stupid way to spend a day. I am saying it's feasible that Apple might introduce some sort of restrictive feature to keep people from texting while driving. You are saying something about embarrassing people for texting while driving, and foolish, totalitarian ideas that contradict your pre conceived notions of what Apple believes. And you might be right. I might wake up tomorrow and the day after and the day after for all eternity only to find that Apple hasn't even touched the issue, and eventually just stay in bed while I listen to your mocking laugh.
Or, it might be something they add to iOS 10, and we will sit here staring at each other, you in disbelief and I with my signature "I told ya' so!" expression.
Just saying. Nobody can see the future. Except maybe Yoda.

Hey everyone! It's time to squeeze the bottle of absurd dish soap and see all the crAzY bubbles that come out pop one by one!
