I'll hold off any judgement (or "I WILL have that" proclamations) until actual details come out. But if this turns out to be just another Sling TV, pass. I did my run with Sling and it was a waste. Now Apple would be able to avoid my main complaint, which was crappy response time on Sling since it runs over Roku and other devices. Apple would be able to tailor its service to a single product so we know it would work better (as opposed to all the Roku boxes, plus roku stick, plus chromecast, plus iOS, plus Android, etc like Sling). But hitting pause or changing a channel it would be a 1-2 second delay, which doesn't sound bad bud adds up when I wanted to go from something like TNT to ESPN that was 4 channels away...5-8 seconds to get there. So I cancelled.
Dream scenario...Apple ends up with true a la carte. But I'll deal with baby steps until then.
As to who should REALLY be worried about this...Sony. Their stupid slow roll out of Vue has ticked a LOT of people off. I have been waiting and waiting for it to make it to D/FW, Tx. Apple will be up and running their TV long before Vue get's off their rumps and expands here.
