    I clearly do not get this article and something escapes me. Alternative browsers with adblocking features for iOS have existed for ages. However using them, you are often giving up on the ecosystem of Apple, which is clearly what you bought it for. Bookmark replications and whatever not. Is not the true innovation of Apple to have plugins that block adverts to Safari and possibly other apps?
