Let me just say that, as a right in SoHo, Apple has made the store their own without having to compl;etely destroy the outside of the building. It does have two flors; it will be flagship; and it's going to preserve that same look of all the other Apple stores as well. I can't make the opening, but I'll make my way down the hudson to visit it at some point.
There's a semi-regular visitor to the AI forums who got hired as a Mac Genius at the SoHo store. He knows who he is. He could answer these questions and tell us what to expect at this new store.

HEY! wouldn't it be cool if the Apple store OFFICIALLY opened on the 18th, but there was a sneak preview of it on the 17th for those attending the convention... hint hint...
