Yeah but then Amazon loses any reason for anyone to buy their junk hardware.
I don't think their hardware is junk, especially the Fire TV, but I do think the Amazon move is a low point. They are not going to increase sales of anything doing this. It's probably related tp the politics on in-app purchases.
They kinda have that now. The iMac is kinda like a TV. They just need some kind of tuner to attach to it.
There was once an iMac type Apple computer with a built in turner. It was a flop. Antennae, tuners, etc... are not in Apple's crystal ball, I suspect. They are considered antiques.
Which model? I can't decide if I need the top end model. I assume that's intended for those wanting lots of apps and games.
Considering that they are limiting apps to 200MB and not allowing any local app data storage, I think most people can easily get by with the 32GB model.
I just noticed that App Store now shows app video and screenshot in landscape format (last visited pre-iOS 9.1). With Guitar Hero, Transistor, Shadowpulse and Afterpulse (new AppleTV announcement event games) I can deduce that those apps that started to show previews in landscape format are going to be the first few apps to launch on Apple TV. I also presume that's why Guitar Hero is £40.00 as it is multiplatform from iPhone, iPod, iPad and AppleTV. Get excited folks!
