Thank goodness I hardly ever need to take notes anymore. If ever I need reminders of little things, it goes directly into Apple Notes or into my iPhone calendar. If it's something longer in need of more detail, I just write myself an email. I strictly avoid any and all software which relies on a proprietary format for note taking. I learned a long time ago that if important notes are kept in any format other than plaintext, there is the risk at some point of that data becoming unrecoverable.
Totally agree, I have had a chance to use the apple pencil and can agree it is by far the best stylus. I think it is only a matter of weeks until the other note taking apps catch up.
The apple pencil is so tempting I am considering the ipad pro even though for me it is a little too big. I think the ipad pro is a game changer despite most reviewers claiming it won't replace their laptop. I think these ppl are like dinosaurs still committed to their trackpad, mouse and keyboard. Once apps start to focus on the pencil,
combined with touch this is the device to have.
The regular ipad air next yr supporting the pencil can't come quick enough!
You should not make the assumption that Apple Pencil will suddenly be available for other Apple products. It could remain an important point of differentiation for a number of years.
i,am using it since ipad 1, sometimes they are a little late to confirm tom the latest, but i'am keep coming back. I have now an ipad pro 9.7, and with pencil it is working really great.
I use notes plus now all the time, great syncing in icloud, great handwriting recognition. I can draw my schedules for client, annotate offers. I really stoped using paper.
If you are an professional like me, and not playing around. Notes plus gets you further. It really brings a paper notebook on a higher level.
i don't use pare anymore, and leave my pen at home. Ipad and notes plus gets me going all day.
The rest is in my opinion nice, but not replacing paper.
