All this talk and bs dancing around the real issue. Its a crapy design… simple ! And that’s not what apple is all about.
It does not deserve the Apple logo..
IF anything apple is biased more to design than ergonomics.. But threir magic has been trying to balance both in reasonable way.
This product fails Apple criteria
The ipad pro keyboard case fails it.
The way the Pencil get charged on iPad pro fails it .
The charge port at the back of the mouse fails it .
The new music app ui fails it.
The new TvOS ( well feels very rushed and half baked .. Ill wait and see what happenes there )
There are bogus decisions made at apple recently. 2015 has been riddled with disarray at Apple.
Hope in the coming year they get back to their normal greatness!
Someone in charge is making follish calls Tim… Too many yes-s to bad ideas .
nope. its a simple form-following-function design, something plenty of people wish they did more of.
the Pencil is awesome, and theres absolutely no problem charging it -- youre probably not even aware of the adapter in the box for using a wall charger.
and the charge port on the mouse is in the correct spot -- because the front is actual "live" touch surface area, so putting the hole there would be bunk. and since it lasts for 30 days, AND you can get a whole day's charge in 2 minutes, theres absolutely NOTHING to complain about....unless youre a troll, of course.
PS.. I give you a point for the adaptor... (Though it is a partial solution to the issue i brought up ). ..a little cable adaptor would allow placing the pencil on the side or top of the iPad when charging .. Rather than sticking way out when usb/lightning charger is not accessible. Never the less , them deciding to provide it free of charge and offering a partial solution is better than nothing. Regarding all other issues... i stick to my points... ✌️

Use iPad Pro with Pencil first before trolling. Bashing a product with no hand-on usage whatsoever makes you sound like an idiot.
And you makeing baseless comments makes you a genius ? Read what i wrote before you comment... i never said i dont liked ipad pro or the pencil. . Actually i love them.. I dont like the stupid keyboard , ugly and limited in functionality .. No support for the pencil.... and i dont like how apple promotes charging the pencil by sticking it in the iPad port . Making it suseptable to breakage on the slightest wrong move.
But im glad to find out they Decided to provide an adaptor partially addressing the issue I am concened about ... Only partially though ..they would have been better off if they attached the adaptor to a short cable .. So one could charge without access to usb/ lightning charger on the go and also not risk breaking the pencil by directly sticking it ipad port ......a littke cable adaptor would allow placing the pencil on the side or top of the iPad when charging .. Rather than sticking way out !
on that note.. You would be wise to take your own advice ! Read before commenting and calling one troll .. If you dont want to come across as a fool .
The thing is ugly but it apparently works. I'm used to Apple making things thatarebeautifuland work. Scanning the internet I found several external battery cases that are indeed nice to see, look technical and sort of designed. Just suppose that Apple really made an effort to design this, would it look like this?
