Remember when Apple changed to the Lighting connector and the tech world was making a big deal about how Apple was screwing customers over? That's one change from the 30-pin connector to Lighting. How many times has Samsung changed their connectors? Are their customers pissed that they have to buy all new cables and chargers again?
Moving from the micro USB standard to the USB-C standard is a more acceptable story than moving from a proprietary 30 pins to a proprietary Lightning connector.   I am still wondering when/if Apple will move to USB-C, taking into account that there must be a single charger standard (which will be USB-C based) in the EU by 2017.
Never.  They cant milk accessory manufacturers for licensing fees unless they have a proprietary port.

You mean do these same trolls feel pissed (on behalf of hypothetical customers') because those hypothetical customers have to upgrade their cables?

    Remember the golden rule:
its only wrong when Apple does it.

Samsung needs to spend their time and their money to come up with an innovative product instead of wasting all this time and energy on appeals and preparing their next product which will once again copy Apple's product...

Rubbish half-baked and irritating feature on iOS, I can't see Samsung doing any better with it.

That can still be done with usb-c. I have a lumia 950 that uses usb-c . My phone uses usb 3.1 on the type-c port . IF a cheap cable is plugged in it could screw up the phone , the cable or the device it is plugged into. I think like lightning cables usb-c 3.1 cables need the correct chips and resistors in the cables.

Apple can still use their made for iPhone program to make sure the cables are up to spec.

Apple can not command license fees for USB-C since they don't own the IP so they can not exploit it the way they can lightning.  Potential manufacturers of accessories could simply choose to ignore the made for iPhone program and not pay Apple anything.

Unlikely, since Apple is using the Lightning port on more devices. To get round the EU ruling they'll just throw in a free adapter.

There has been well published research on pressure sensitive capacitive touchscreens since 2009. Why would anyone assume that most companies were not developing these themselves?

If that's the case then why didn't Samsung release a capacitive screen years ago?  Why didn't they release a fingerprint sensor years ago?  Why didn't they release Samsung Pay years ago?  Samsung works on a lot of things, yet for some reason only releases them immediately after Apple does.

Please stop making excuses for this sleazebag company.

The finger print sensor, that is another story. Not made by Apple. Apple and Motorola both looking at same company as supplier, but Motorola ready to roll out a year ahead of Apple. Apple buy company and Motorola can not use product - rival company products not yet up to scratch. Apple lauded by fans for its innovation.
