BTW, remember, I'm Canadian and voted Liberal in the last election so I wouldn't have to deal with right wing garbage like Bushie boy. Was working in the US in 2001 when his "brighter" brother was elected... The horror in the face of people I work with at seeing him elected, should not be repeated ever.
Bush is much smarter than the current left wing garbage in charge who uses a terrible and outdated, failed Canadian product called a Blackberry. At least Bush is smart enough to know that Apple makes the best products.
Speaking of quick charging... apple needs to find a way to enable quick charging on all their devices. A 30 min charge barely raise the battery level by 10% on the phone.
Ever tried charging your phone with an iPad charger? Much faster.
I'm no fan of Bush, for obvious reasons, but is he wrong? I don't think so. All he is stating is that the battery life is not yet good enough, and that future versions will improve, and in the meantime, he will keep using his current Apple Watch.
No he is fucking wrong because AW IS intuitive. It has 100+ more features than many "dumb" smart watches that have 1 week battery or so...like Fitbit, Pebble or those Chinese junks. I never reached 50% on my AW at the end of the day before going to bed. The lowest battery life left at the end of the day for me was 55%. Today mine is still at 75%. That means mine is well over 2 days. Wake up Jeb, you're not different from your brother...meaning...do I need to say?
the apple watch battery is not good if you are a frequent traveler and takes a redeye anywhere. and while i like induction charging, i wish i didn't have to bring along another cable for those 30 mins charge at the airport waiting area. Speaking of quick charging... apple needs to find a way to enable quick charging on all their devices. A 30 min charge barely raise the battery level by 10% on the phone.
I don't know what kind of charger you used. I actual had my timer when I placed my AW on the charge plate and it got 20% within 20 minutes. No lie here.
Well if he has trouble working it out, then it's not intuitive, is it?
intuitive - using or based on what one feels to be true even without conscious reasoning; instinctive: his intuitive understanding of the readers' real needs.
You guys need to get out of the basement every now and again.
Sound idiotic to me. His usage is NOT typical usage. You can only comment on a product in unbiased way if your use is typical.
Not sure why Business Insider felt that the Watch was the sort of thing they should be talking about with a presidential candidate, but I don't think Jeb is wrong about this.
He's wrong, 100 reviewers says so and I say so. Battery life is not short. So, mr. fat lips should shut his mouth and keep his lying for his own voters.
Maybe calm down a bit? It's just an opinion; lots of people feel that a wearable should have more than a day of battery life. For them, irrespective of functionality, a day of charge is too short.
Let's see... the Apple watch has to be charged daily. While that may be fine for the typical user who charges it on their nightstand every night, its not exactly convenient when traveling.
Exactly. Especially a presidential candidate who's on the road 24/7.
Why did he buy it then? Clearly he didn't do the proper research as battery life (or lack thereof) was well known.

So we're blaming the user now? Maybe he was bought it as a gift? Maybe Apple sent it to him (doubt it, but maybe)? Why do the circumstances of his buying it have any impact whatsoever on the validity of him criticizing certain features? He's a user, not a tech reviewer and Business Insider is not a tech review magazine. It's. Just. His. Opinion.
Come on people, he was just asked about it as an irrelevant aside in an interview, quit taking every criticism of Apple and its products so personally.

You're right it could have been a gift. Then I could understand his battery life comments as he may not have known what to expect. My criticism is really that BI, AI and The Verge consider this news. BI and The Verge I sort of get as its click bait for them.
Battery life is a non issue for most IMO. Most charge devices at night. Some probably don't want to do that but not sure it is a deal breaker or a key shortfall. Not intuitive? I thought it was pretty good. With that said he more than likely has an agenda for his comments. Also he is not the sounding board I would use for technology in general.
I'm no fan of Bush, for obvious reasons, but is he wrong?
OK I will bite what is the so obvious reason here? Not that I like Bush, he is far too liberal, but rather I'd like to know what assumptions you have made here about AI readership.
Beyond that you can't be right nor wrong when expressing an opinion about something you own and actually use. For the comments to be of concern to Apple they would have to see them as impacting many users. I'm pretty certain that they are indeed working on some of Bush's complaints.
I don't think so.
All he is stating is that the battery life is not yet good enough, and that future versions will improve, and in the meantime, he will keep using his current Apple Watch.
Yep, all things I'm pretty certain Apple is working on right now. I do wonder though why Bush's obvious comments got play in this forum. Do we really need articles that repeat the obvious just because a politician says them.
Well if he has trouble working it out, then it's not intuitive, is it?
Pretty obvious isn't it. Sad how butt hurt many are here when the obvious is said about something they own.
intuitive - using or based on what one feels to be true even without conscious reasoning; instinctive: his intuitive understanding of the readers' real needs.
The interesting thing here is that the most common complaint I hear from actual Apple Watch owners is that the battery life isn't good enough. Bush saying this should surprise nobody.
You guys need to get out of the basement every now and again.
I kinda doubt anybody complaining here has a job more demanding than burger flipping.
I am no Jeb Bush fan, and my experience with the Watch is different, but c'mon guys, cut him some slack.
I'll bet he's like a lot of Watch users. And he's being honest. Leave it at that.
He's lying about the battery, so NO SLACK. All the reviewers have no been able to kill the battery unless they played with it all day long the day they received it. I'm better that pinheads phone died quicker than his watch.
Hahaha! My iPhone always dies before my Watch does.

While I don't want a 3rd Bush as President, I'm far from a fan of OBAMA. He's a clown and clearly acts like one!!! Zero experience running anything. [...]
funny, I don't remember the 22nd amendment being repealed? If you feel Bush is running against Obama, then your credibility of looking at presented facts rationally is suffering.
Would you have rather had McCain (boots on the ground in Syria, friend of Ghaddafi?, selector of Palin as a running mate?) or Mitt Bain ? sometimes a non-optimal solution today was the best option 8 or 4 years ago (8 years ago The run away smartphone winner was a BlackBerry phone, and the iPhone was shooting for getting above 1% [sort of like Jeb Bush]).
and I'm no fan of family succession to the White House (I'm no Hillary fan either).
Trump: “You know, Apple makes some great products. Just great stuff. And let me tell you about their new watch. This thing–it’s amazing–this thing can answer your calls, send messages, email, track your health, all of that. A real time-saver, okay? But the battery’s just not there yet. It does a lot of cool things, but it just doesn’t last very long. I’m sure the folks at Apple are working on that right now, and I’m excited to see what they do next.”
Bernie: Crap, I don’t know any of his mannerisms…
Hillary: “The Apple Watch is released! What difference, at this point, does it make?!”
…sometimes a non-optimal solution today was the best option 8 or 4 years ago…
The best option 8/4 years ago was Ron Paul, and I’m someone who believes that the most terrifying thing about libertarianism is that people actually believe it’s a complete ideology. We should have been isolationist these last eight years.
Why did he buy it then? Clearly he didn't do the proper research as battery life (or lack thereof) was well known.
You need to own a product to form an opinion about it. It's not as intuitive as an iPhone. It's the best smartwatch out there, but it needs help in the area of intuitiveness in my opinion. No need to get all defensive about it.
