How long before Apple cash holdings will be as much as half the value of the company?

Soon, and Apple will spend that cash to buy back stocks to go private. Oh, yeah, fuck the WS.

Forget talking up the Stock market - I dont think we can blame Tim Cook on that one. But there are a few things that Apple has seriously slipped up on.

    - Why is it that TouchID is still not available as a login option on the Mac - on any Mac? It is 2 years since iPhone has had Touch ID - not enough time for Apple? Or has the Mac become not-so-important for Apple?

    - Apple has actively crippled the Mac Mini every time there's been a refresh. I run a app development shop, and there are many people who dont like the glossy screen of Apple's laptop or iMac range because it is a strain on the eyes when you stare at the screen the whole day. The Mac Pro is ridiculously priced for everyone except those who work on video. Mac Mini is the perfect development device - but now it comes with soldered RAM, very slow processors, etc. And not like this is tough for Apple - because the previous generation allowed easy upgrades of RAM - but I guess that deprived Apple of its mega margins!! I think almost everyone who is buying a Mac Mini today is buying it as a dev machine for building iOS apps - and Apple is making their life difficult!

Don't be fooled by the billions that Apple is paying out to developers - there are many millions of developers who are struggling to make ends meet!! And for us, it is a real shame when Apple makes our lives tougher by making it impossible to use the Mac Mini! By charging us $100 each year if we want to even see our apps on the App Store. When they remove apps for totally ridiculous reasons - and even worse, without reasons even!

Sometimes one does get the feeling that Apple is Apple's worst enemy! And believe me, there are many times when we feel so frustrated about the many things we deal with. But then, we are married to Apple!!

SOG, Look Apple pre-announced some good data and the market still driving the sock down. See it does not make, Apple making more money than anyone even in online stores and Wall Street has declare Apple is dead to them.
Sometimes, when you seek to draw attention to something, you also run the risk of drawing attention to what you didn't say.

you are correct, they did not say anything specific about phone sales, but the app store data says that iphone sales are health and strong with new users. Why would app store sales be going up unless new phone sale is driving it. Someone upgrade is not going to all of a sudden start buying apps again, they may upgrade an app, but most time the upgrade is free. Apple is not talking about downloads like Google talks about, Apple again is talking about profits in the bank which is growing in the app store.

I believe this was apple simple way of saying hey everything is healthy just look at the app store sales, which by the way Apple provides no guidance on so they do not have to worry about this data being different than what they guild the market with.
