    I purchased a GTI 2016 with Carplay support, it doesn't do much but mirror stock apps to the car display and support about 5 apps... Apple is approving Carplay apps so they won't ever approve apps like Google Maps/Waze/Here Maps etc because those compete directly with their stock Apple Maps. I think Android Auto is far more interesting but then again it's Android and those things crash anytime..
