this is why ahving a central place on Ai where things like this are explained--ONCE... so you dont ahve to tell each person who happens to ask about it...
I'm a copywriter, and would be willing and able to copyedit a couple of articles a week. I can't volunteer to write though as I have a few other commitments.
So, i'm soliciting feedback and trying to gauge the amount of enthusiasm for such ideas as expanding to include a user gallery, user articles, a shop (underway, but I need design help, email me) and the like.
Basically, if you think any of these ideas are good, or would like to help, please let me know here!
Thanks...

I would like one page created as a shrine to the earliest AI board registered person. I would even be willing to write it.
My vote goes to a "senior members hardware/software discussion" forum, where only members which have been around for 6 months, with more than 200 posts, can visit.
is that possible with UBB? <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" /> <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" />
I think all this sounds like an excellent idea. As we all enjoy what AI has to offer, we each chip in to make everyone elses visit that much better. I would love to come to just this site to get my Mac news, read the forums, view community art, etc.
I would definately be willing and able to help write reviews, or anything else I could do. And I would wear my AI shirt proudly if given the chance to buy one.
Also, on a profitable note, if we were reviewing products, we would be able to solicit review copies of such items occasionally. That way were not just giving educated guesses on things, but rather REAL product reviews. And yes, a FAQ and community section should be a must. But make sure that before a new member is listed anywhere in the community section, they have contibuted so many posts to the forums, or something. Unless, of course, we have a "newbie" section in the community pages for new members. Great thinking all, keep it up.

<strong>So, this is your chance to really impact the future of AI.
pscates brought up several good ideas in Suggestions (<a href="http://forums.appleinsider.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=11&t=000223" target="_blank">here</a>) which intrigued me.

Yes. Overclockers.com.au has a buy/sell forum, and you need to be a member for 90 days (from memory) before you can post.
