Am I blind or something? I don't see any bad news for Apple in that graphs  :/
If you don't mind that Android is growing faster than iOS, then indeed there is no bad news in the article

Mobile browser comparison is not fair as chrome is available on both ios and android platform while safari is only on ios. Apple-TV is fine. Just need more apps like Amazon prime,Sling,Xfinity, etc and skinny ala-carte TV channels package. Road to get their is treacherous but will get their.
Nothing forbids Apple to make Safari on Android, so what's not fair about it?

As we have three Apple TVs in our home I have never even looked at Smart TVs so I no nothing about them.  Tell me can you stream your iPhone, Mac or iPhone to them, can you use your iCloud Photos or Aperture Library for screen savers or slide shows on them, can you play anything form your iTunes Match account on them?  Can you talk to them?  I would assume some of the above are possible ... yes .. no?
You can do all that with your iPhone using Chromecast along with Google Music and Google Photos.
No you can't AirPlay with a Chromecast.  Chromecast requires an Internet connection and connection to WiFi.  An AppleTV can mirror your screen on iOS and OS X with little to no delay, or it can second screen from apps.  Chromecast is basically a web browser on a stick and apps must be loaded from the Internet.  Once that's loaded, it may be possible to stream point to point, but it requires a special app in each supported instance.

My point is that, for me, I have absolutely no reason to buy a ATV as I have many other things, Roku, Xbox, Chromecast, that can do everything that an ATV can. Now, I can't play those so called casual games but I have no use for them at all as my Xbox has better games. Plus I do have a 4K TV of which I do stream movies to it. So I'd like to buy a ATV but there is no reason to do so.

I suspect that Apple isn't focused on 4K because online video doesn't consistently stream at that rate yet. I still get occasional lag on lower resolution YouTube and Netflix streams. Not to mention the fact that streamed video is compressed so a lot of the 4K detail is lost. Apple has a successful history of focusing on the user experience rather than blindly fighting spec wars with their competitors.

A more likely reason they don't have 4K is so they can sell a 4K Apple TV Pro at a higher price next year.

Most likely is that you'd be better off at MacRumors with others who have your attitude.

    What's this ? A Adobe news-'FLASH' ?

I wonder; how did this news-flash come to light ? Through one of their unpatched backdoors ?

This grudge, that Adobe holds, for Steve calling flash what it (still) is... That grudge is growing a very, very long beard !
    Omniture Adobe Marketing Cloud

Another tracker which is even used by Apple on some of their web pages. I use Ghostery to block it on my Mac, but on iOS there is no way that I am aware of to block trackers. I do have an ad blocker though.

One reason Chrome is seeing an increase is that for every Windows 10 installation there is a Chrome download because Edge Browser sucks.

Since when is Android NOT growing faster than iOS. When you sell cheap junks your marketshare will grow much faster, what a concept, eh?

Ok, Am i missing something here?

While the first graph makes it look like Chrome for All Smartphone is double usage of Safari, in actual numbers, Chrome is only about 170%, while Safari is 130%. Which means Chrome is leading Safari by 30%.

If we are only counting iOS / iPhone, Chrome and Safari are very roughly equal in numbers.

Which means large majority of the First All smarphone Chrome users are actual iPhone users. But those numbers dont add up.

It is also worth point out Chrome on iOS is nothing more then a UI with same Safari WebKit under leave. ( Hooray for Webkit. Blink Sucks! )

OMG. It has almost nothing to do with 4K. It has to do with the fact that virtually every new TV sold is a "Smart TV" that offers the ability to stream directly to the TV without the need for an Apple TV or a Roku or a Fire or anything else. May not offer everything, but they generally provide Netflix and Amazon Prime which is all most people want. Smart TVs are not shown anywhere in that graph.
I was thinking if this the other day. Almost all new tvs are "smart". Apple TV really needs to stand out.

TV Apps. That's the market that's just popping it's head out. This is what'll make people want an Apple TV I think. The market is growing but slowly.

Why isn't Google chromecast in the TV device chart, or perhaps android TV?
